Review: The Organic Candy Factory

I love reviewing organic products. Not only do I think that they taste better, but I actually feel much better about eating them! So, I found a company that combines some of my favorite things... Organic Products, and CANDY!




I was sent two different product to try out from The Organic Candy Factory: Sugar Sprinkled Gummy Worms, and Sugar Sprinkled Gummy Cubs.

The Gummy worms were my favorite. The flavors were great! They were Tangerine, Sour Apple, and Pink Grapefruit. Yum! The texture was a little different than other gummy worms that I have had. They weren't "chewy". If you have ever had the Orange Slice candies, then they are like that texture. Either way, they tasted amazing.

The Sugar Sprinkled Gummy Cubs were just as good, and had the same texture as the Gummy Worms, but the flavors were different. They were Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry and Cherry! These were also really delicious, and my husbands favorite!

The Organic Candy Factory Candies contain NO:

• Gelatin
• Gluten
• Pesticides
• Preservatives
• Nuts
• Tree Nuts
• Artificial Colors, Flavors, or Sweeteners
• Corn Syrup

They are also Vegan and made right here in the USA!

I was completely satisfied with these candies! They are super addicting!

Review: Food Should Taste Good

I will be the first person to admit that chips are not my favorite snack. Regular potato chips drive me bonkers, sure they taste good, but the amount of salt in them always left me feeling "blah". I have to say though, these "chips" I received from Food Should Taste Good, were absolutely awesome. 



I was able to try four different flavors:
- Multigrain
- Guacamole
- Kimchi
- Sweet Potato

 The Sweet Potato flavor was definitely my favorite, followed by the guacamole. Kimchi was my least favorite. It was just a little too "wild" for me. Though, my husband really liked them. Food is one of those things that is hard to review, because everyone likes different things. I promise you though, you will not be let down by the quality and flavor of these snacks. 

Review: Skout Organic Trailbars and Trailpaks

I usually am not a huge fan of energy type bars, mostly because they are always dry and tasteless. I was very wary of trying these bars, because of all of the bad experiences I have had previously. I tried one of the chocolate flavored ones first, because I was craving something sweet. 

When I blog, I blog at nighttime, and I end up craving sweet things. Instead of eating a candy bar, or something unhealthy, I tried these trail bars, and I have to say, I was very impressed with the flavor, and the texture. These were moist and packed with flavor. They also gave me a boost of energy, and I was able to keep on track while I was writing. I was able to try all five flavors:
- Blueberry Almond
- Apple Cinnamon
- Cherry Vanilla
- Chocolate Coconut
- Chocolate Peanut Butter


 

These bars are Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Dairy and Soy Free, contain naturally occurring Protein, Fiber and vitamins, and contain no refined sugar or fillers. 

The other product I was able to review from Skout, was Raw pumpkin seeds. I was very impressed with these! When I was a kid, on Halloween we would toast the pumpkin seeds after we hollowed out of jack o lanterns. After trying these Raw seeds, especially with the flavorings on them, I don't think my plain old toasted seeds will be as satisfying. They are very fresh, and the portion size is quite a lot. If you are feeling the "slump" in the middle of the day, these would be a very good snack. I like to keep these next to my computer if I start to get that "snacky" feeling. They help me curb my appetite, and keep me on track, so I don't have to get up and break my concentration by going and grabbing a snack. 

I was able to try all three of the flavors:
- Black Pepper BBQ
- Jalapeno Salsa
- Sea Salt

My favorite flavor was without a doubt, the Black Pepper BBQ. Each serving size contains 10 grams of protein. 


I loved both of these products. I would recommend them to anyone. If you are an active hiker, these were made for you, but even if you are a busy mom, looking for a pick me up throughout the day, or accidentally skipped breakfast or lunch, these would be great!

Review: Zevia

I am a huge Pop (Soda) drinker. It is one of my biggest downfalls. I try to drink diet when I can, but then I have to deal with Aspartame most of the time. It's a never ending cycle. I was so happy when I stumbled across Zevia, while searching the web.

Zevia is a Zero Calorie Soda with No Sugar and No Artificial Sweeteners. It is Vegan, Kosher and Gluten Free.

I was sent several different kinds to try. My favorite was the Cherry Cola. The only one I didn't like was the Cream Soda. My second favorite was the Grapefruit Citrus, it tasted just like Squirt.

Zevia is available in 15 different flavors! Wow!

Zevia uses a combination of Stevia, and Monk Fruit extract to sweeten their sodas, they call it SmartSweet.




Not to mention, and I compare the two cans of soda in front of me, one being Zevia's Grapefruit Citrus (The empty can) and the other being a popular Diet soda... Zevia also has less sodium! This is huge for my husband and I because we tend to eat way more sodium than we should. He loved Zevia.

Review: Nature Geeks Skincare Products

I have learned to love natural skincare more than anything lately... I have noticed that since I have been using quality natural products, my face is clearer, and I am so much happier about it.
I received three different products to try from Nature Geeks:

Conscious Skincare "Lemon and Rosewoods Hand Wash"
This cleanses without drying out hands, and is great for tired hands, This is a cruelty Free product. It contains no synthetic preservatives, parabens or phthalates. This smelled great, but wasn't overpowering and left my hands soft and clean.

Enkido Clear Infusion
This is for acne and pimple prone skin. It is designed to reduct and prevent the appearance of pimples and acne. This contains, vitamin B3, colloidal Oatmeal, Beta-Glucan, Hyaluronic Acid and many more beneficial ingredients. You mist this all over your face... I have been using this daily, and I have noticed quite an improvement in my complexion, and the way my face feels! My skin is much more softer, and after using this it feels clean. This was my favorite product that I was sent.

Conscious Skincare "Enrich Night Cream"
A little goes a long way with this. This has Organic Cocoa Butter and fair trade Shea Butter in it. This keeps your skin soft a supple, and keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay. This was probably my other favorite. So often, I have problems with moisturizers leaving my face with a greasy residue, which ends up making me break out. This, on the other hand, was absolutely perfect. It had a nice smell, and didn't leave my face greasy at all! This also seemed to help my sunburnt nose, sometimes creams irritate sunburns, and this one definitely did not!




All Products are Vegan friendly, not tested on animals, and packaged using recyclable materials. All of these products smelled wonderful! The scents were not overpowering in the least. I have a somewhat sensitive nose, and strong smells sometimes give me a headache... but these were absolutely perfect. I loved all of these products.

Review: Sweet Debbie's Organic Treats Cookbook

I love to bake, but sometimes when I get the mood to bake, I lack inspiration and recipes. I usually end up making a boxed cake mix (Bleck). I was so happy to be able to review Sweet Debbie's Cookbook. There are so many wonderful recipes in this. I am very excited for this fall so I can make my family to pumpkin muffins. I also loved that in the front of the book, the ingredients she uses in her recipes are all explained. What a great book!

Review: Fiafini Skincare Divine Hydration Moisturizer

I have tried my fair share of moisturizers, and I have to say, this is one of the best. I have tried plenty of moisturizers, and most of them are greasy, or make my face break out, or just plain don't do anything at all. I cannot even describe how satisfied Fiafini's Divine Hydration Moisturizer.

Review: Everyday Minerals

Everyone who knows even a little bit about me knows that I am a makeup fanatic. My favorite products are face products: Foundation, Blush, Bronzers, and powders. I was so excited when I received Everyday Minerals in the mail. “The Real You” kit has everything you need in it to create a wonderful fully finished face. The kit includes four finishing powders in four different shades: Bronzed, Pearl, Finishing Dust n(original), and Sunlight. The kit also includes Calm and Collected Skin Tint, and Poised to perfection skin tint. It also includes a flat kabuki brush.

 

The quality of these really surprised me. I loved these! I used the darker shades for contouring, and the lighter shades to set my face. The finishing powders set my makeup beautifully and it lasted all day. This was not cakey or heavy on my face.

 Everyday Minerals Finishing Dusts are translucent powders that serve to set your makeup and get rid of excess shine. They are suitable for all skin shades, from Fair to Light to Medium to Dark.

 The Kabuki brush was also a great quality. It was very dense and very soft. I have tried kabuki brushes before, and some of them are “scratchy”. They don’t blend the makeup very well. This one definitely gets the job done the way it is supposed to be.

The SKIN TINTS are wonderful products for the skin that range from a soft glow to matte with skin tone shades. It can be worn over your usual foundation base, or all on it's own. Simply, it offers a subtle, sheer and translucent tint of color so that the skin is not masked. Instead, skin is instantly brightened, radiant, and warm. Expect a nice, light feel on the skin, that's powdery in texture and leaves your complexion totally gorgeous.

These powders are also very build-able. You can get sheer coverage, or add more to get a more medium coverage.

Everyday minerals are hand crafted, 100% Vegan, and do not test on Animals. There is also no Mineral Oil, Carmine, Parabens, Parrafin, or Synthetic Fragrance.

Review: De La Terre SkinCare

My passion for Natural beauty products has been increasing. I love that I can make myself look better, and also feel better doing it, knowing that I'm not putting a bunch of unnatural chemicals on my body.
I was sent three products from De La Terre Skincare to try out. and I have to say, I loved all of them.

Herb Rich Serum-
This was perfect for my dry skin. It is formulated to help accelerate skin recovery, has anti aging properties, and helps diminish scars and dark pigmentation. I put this on my face, because I noticed I was starting to get dry skin around my mouth and jawline. This cleared that up in no time at all!



Herb Rich Balm-
I really loved this product. I used it as a lip balm, but you can also use it as an eye treatment, or an all over face mask. I love that you can use this in so many ways. You can also use this to treat minor burns and skin irritations. Sometimes my lips get flaky, and it drives me crazy! This has been my go to product for keeping my lips nice and smooth!

Herb Rich Clay-
This product was also fantastic. You make an emulsion with it and press it onto your face. I could feel my skin getting tighter after I used this. Do not let it dry on your face. It has to be wet to work properly. I had my mom try this also, and she loved it as well.

All of De La Terre's Skincare is 100% synthetic Free, Gluten Free, and Vegan. It contains NO Parabens, sulfates, or Petrochemicals. It is also Non-Comedogemic (Won't clog pores). They are also Cruelty Free! They do not test on animals! I always thought it was hard to find companies who do not test on animals, and since I have started my blogging adventure, I now know of several companies who are cruelty free! I love De La Terre Skincare!

Review: Artisana Nut Butters

Since I have started my blogging adventure, I have learned a lot of things. Most of them being, that it really does matter what you put in and on your body. I have a few Facebook friends who always talk about eating "raw", and up until I tried these butters, I had assumed "raw" meant "bland". That is so NOT the case. I can honestly tell you that since I have been eating better, more organic, even Vegan items, that I can feel the difference in my body. I do not get stomach pains every day like I used to, and I have even lost weight! After reading over several different labels on many different organic products, I realized that products are so much better without all of the additives!

When I received my shipment of Artisana Nut Butters, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I had never tried anything like these before. The only "Nut Butter" I had ever tried was Peanut Butter, and I use that term lightly. Many Peanut Butters are packed with things that don't belong in Peanut Butter!

I tried the Cashew butter first, as cashews are my favorite nuts in the entire world. I tried it plain first, Oh man, It was so delicious. It was creamy, and it sticks to the roof of your mouth like you would expect it to, and it tasted exactly like Cashews! of course, it should, because the only ingredient in this butter is Organic Raw Cashews. Then I tried it on graham crackers... and I was in heaven. I gave some to everyone in my household to try, and they all loved it also.

I was also sent a jar of raw organic Coconut Butter. This was a little different than I expected. I did try this plain, and it is very good, but I don't think I would eat this plain. I think they would be absolutely wonderful in a smoothie. I also think this particular butter would be great for making Coconut Shrimp. It has a sweetness to it, but it is a natural sweetness, because, as well as with the Cashew butter, it only has one Ingredient, Organic Raw Coconut.

I was also sent a variety of packets containing their different flavors of nut butters. I think my favorite out of the packets I was sent was the Chocolate Paste with Rose. Sounds different, I thought for sure I wouldn't like this one, but I loved it. Just as good, if not better than the common Hazelnut Chocolate Spread we all know and love.

All of the products I received were Vegan, and Kosher and Gluten Free!

Review: Sneaky Pete's All Natural Oat Beverage

I was given the opportunity to review Sneaky Pete's All Natural Oat Beverage. I wasn't sure what to expect with this product, as I had never heard of anything even remotely similar. I was pleasantly surprised when I took a drink... I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting what I tasted. I tried the Apple flavor first, and that was my favorite out of the flavors that I received: Apple, Raspberry, Peach, Mango and Grape. I liked all of them, but Apple I think was the flavor that I liked the most. 

This drink is unlike anything I have ever drank before, not in a bad way. You get the flavor of Oatmeal and Fruit juice, but it is not heavy or thick. It is very hard to describe. The only advice I can give you is to try this great drink for yourself. Not only is it tasty, but it also is good for you! 
Sneaky Pete's Oat Beverage has three grams of Oat Fiber, is all natural, and each bottle is ONLY 40 CALORIES! It is also Heart Healthy, Low in sugar and sodium, and may also help lower cholesterol. There are no artificial flavors or colors, is completely Vegan and Kosher!

These drinks were Great, and they are great for you too! Try them!

Deodorant. That word strikes fear in the heart of many. Does it work? Will it leave stains? Will I smell halfway through the day? So, when I had the chance to try North Coast Organics' deodorant, I was a little skeptical. I come from a place where "natural" usually means it doesn't work as well as a product packed wiht chemicals. That is NOT the case with North Coast Organics' deodorant! 

I have always been sort of picky with my deodorant. It needs to work, and after it being on for a while, I like it to not make those weird little deodorant balls... (those things are just weird). I am absolutely IN LOVE with the "naked" deodorant. It works all day, has no scent (for sensitive skin), and doesn't ball up in my armpit. I think the best part about this deodorant is that it only contains FOUR ingredients. The odor control in this comes from baking soda. It also contains Coconut Oil, which is great for moisturizing skin. 

I also received two other fragrances: Revolver and Death by Lavender. Revolver has a nice scent to it, light and fresh smelling, though I personally think this is more "manly" smelling. The lavender has a stronger scent to it, and you definitely catch whiffs of your deodorant throughout the day. 
Everything in these deodorants is completely organic, vegan and Cruelty Free. What a great product!

I would give this product a 10/10!

Best of all, They contain no GMO's are made only with USA Apples, they contain no High Fructose Corn Syrup, are a great source of Vitamin C, are naturally Gluten and Fat Free, and are Vegan! What a great snack!
