Review: HealthyNow Colon Cleanse

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

My husband actually took and reviewed this product, and he had only good things to say about it. My husband always feels a little blah, and had always wanted to try a cleanse. This came at the perfect time.

The words "Colon Cleanse" scare me. So my husband, who had been asking to do a cleanse, took over this review for me. He took the pills as directed for about 3 days, and he said he had never felt better. This didn't give him uncomfortable stomach cramps, or make him feel sick, it just simply did what it was supposed to do.

He was very satisfied with this product, and he said he would continue to use it.

I did however notice that the pills were a big large, too large for me to take comfortably. My husband, Brian, though had no issues with this.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Review: Food Should Taste Good

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I will be the first person to admit that chips are not my favorite snack. Regular potato chips drive me bonkers, sure they taste good, but the amount of salt in them always left me feeling "blah". I have to say though, these "chips" I received from Food Should Taste Good, were absolutely awesome.

I was able to try four different flavors:
- Multigrain
- Guacamole
- Kimchi
- Sweet Potato

The Sweet Potato flavor was definitely my favorite, followed by the guacamole. Kimchi was my least favorite. It was just a little too "wild" for me. Though, my husband really liked them. Food is one of those things that is hard to review, because everyone likes different things. I promise you though, you will not be let down by the quality and flavor of these snacks.

Review: Paleo Meenut Butter

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

A lot of you know that I love eating and reviewing nut butters. Growing up, the only kind of "nut butter" I ever had was Peanut Butter. However, since starting my blog, and looking for healthier products, I have experienced a lot of different kinds and flavors of nut butters.

I was able to review Paleo Meenut Butter, and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. This is thicker and more coarsely ground than the other butters I have tried in the past. The best part about this is that it is handmade. You can tell by the flavor and packaging just how much care went into making this product. I loved it on my wholegrain Rice Thins.

The ingredients in this ROCKED!

  • California Almonds
  • Organic Coconut
  • California Organic Walnuts
  • Pecans
  • Organic Macadamia Nuts
  • Organic Golden Flax Seeds
  • Organic Sunflower Seeds
  • Sonoma Sea Salt
You can also add Honey or maple to this to make it sweeter, but I liked it just how it was. I could never go back to regular peanut butter after trying and experiencing the flavors of other nut butters. This is the closest thing to a more "chunky" butter that I have tried, since it is coarsely ground. I loved it.

Review: Skout Organic Trailbars and Trailpaks

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I usually am not a huge fan of energy type bars, mostly because they are always dry and tasteless. I was very wary of trying these bars, because of all of the bad experiences I have had previously. I tried one of the chocolate flavored ones first, because I was craving something sweet.

When I blog, I blog at nighttime, and I end up craving sweet things. Instead of eating a candy bar, or something unhealthy, I tried these trail bars, and I have to say, I was very impressed with the flavor, and the texture. These were moist and packed with flavor. They also gave me a boost of energy, and I was able to keep on track while I was writing. I was able to try all five flavors:
- Blueberry Almond
- Apple Cinnamon
- Cherry Vanilla
- Chocolate Coconut
- Chocolate Peanut Butter

These bars are Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Dairy and Soy Free, contain naturally occurring Protein, Fiber and vitamins, and contain no refined sugar or fillers.

The other product I was able to review from Skout, was Raw pumpkin seeds. I was very impressed with these! When I was a kid, on Halloween we would toast the pumpkin seeds after we hollowed out of jack o lanterns. After trying these Raw seeds, especially with the flavorings on them, I don't think my plain old toasted seeds will be as satisfying. They are very fresh, and the portion size is quite a lot. If you are feeling the "slump" in the middle of the day, these would be a very good snack. I like to keep these next to my computer if I start to get that "snacky" feeling. They help me curb my appetite, and keep me on track, so I don't have to get up and break my concentration by going and grabbing a snack.

I was able to try all three of the flavors:
- Black Pepper BBQ
- Jalapeno Salsa
- Sea Salt

My favorite flavor was without a doubt, the Black Pepper BBQ. Each serving size contains 10 grams of protein.

I loved both of these products. I would recommend them to anyone. If you are an active hiker, these were made for you, but even if you are a busy mom, looking for a pick me up throughout the day, or accidentally skipped breakfast or lunch, these would be great!

Review and Giveaway: John Paul Pet

For those of you who don't know, I am a proud mother of two fur babies. I have two dogs, who are both eight. I have Eldorado, who is a mixed breed of Blue Heeler and Welsh Corgi. I have had her since she was eight weeks old. I also rescued a pure bred Blue Heeler named Boozer five years ago.

I am very big on taking care of my dogs the best I can. I don't like just using any product on them because I have noticed that it dries out their skin. My dogs have had issues with "hot spots" in the past, after going into certain lakes.

So, after they got out of the lake the last time they went swimming, I wanted to get them into the bath to get any kind of parasites washed off them immediately. I decided it was the best time to try the John Paul Oatmeal Shampoo. After a little bit of a struggle with Eldorado (bath time is not her forte) I got her in the tub first. I must say, I started off over all impressed with the scent. It wasn't to overpowering. It was just a nice scent. I also think that the oatmeal helped soften her fur up quite a bit. She has a few patches of more wire hair. After all was said and done, I decided it was doggy spa day. I proceeded to bathe Boozer, but that little ham loves taking baths. He didn't even try to shake out all over me.

My dogs don't typically have problems with gross stuff being stuck in their eyes due to their breed, but they do get nasty ears. Typically they don't appreciate when I am trying to clean out their ears. Whether I use liquid or what not in their ears, they both tend to run from me. So, I took out an Ear and Eye wipe. I first let Boozer sniff the wipe. I am pretty sure he thought it was a baby wipe. So he sat down, and I started working on his ears. These wipes take out a lot of grime without putting your pet through any stress at all.

Last, I wanted to brush them out, so I decided to use the conditioning spray. After having a hard time spraying Eldorado, I ended up brushing a lot of loose hair out of her. Afterwords, she looked like she had lost a good ten pounds. Boozer and Eldorado both had a nice shine on their coats for the next week easy. They smelled great.

I love that these products can be bought separately, or in a three pack special right on the website.

Review: P28

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.
Sliced Bread, Bagel, Sample sizes of Spreads
All delicious!

I have been using an app on my phone, that tells me what sort of nutrients that I lack in my daily diet. Turns out, I lack protein, almost every day. Protein is one of the most vital things that you need to eat, and I definitely don't eat enough of it. I was surfing the internet one day, and I stumbled across P28. What makes P28 so special is that each of their bread products contain 28 grams of protein!

I was able to review a bagel, a flatbread, and their regular sliced bread, as well as a variety of their high protein spreads.

I tried the flatbread first, I wasn't a huge fan of that. I do not care for regular flatbreads though either, so that was not a surprise to me. If you enjoy flatbreads though, you would probably love this!

The next product I tried was the regular bread, and i have to say, I loved this. It was very dense. Perfect for sandwiches. Filled with seeds, and packed with flavor.

The last bread product I tried was the bagel. This bagel was so dense. But the flavor was great! By the time I took a bite of the second half, I was full. I tried this with the different spreads, and that just made it better.

Review: Aurorae Candle

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

“Light the candle, breathe, and focus with an open mind.”

I don’t know if I have talked about this on my blog yet or not, but now seems about as good of a time as any. I have many addictions/obsessions in my life. No, nothing “serious”. I have no vices that could eventually kill me. I love a lot of different things, which means I end up having a plethora of those things. Everyone knows that I am a makeup fanatic, a perfume hoarder, and a lover of all beautiful things, and candles are no exception. I have tons of candles, and candle warmers, wax melts, tea lights, votives, pillar… just about any type of candle you can imagine… I have it.
When I was given the opportunity to review a Pledge Candle from Aurorae, I was so happy. Then when I got it in the mail, I was even happier. I received the candle in Harmony (lavender), and though Lavender is not my favorite scent, it still smells great. These pledge candles come in a lot of other scents, including the Harmony (lavender) one I received:

Compassion (Vanilla)
Healing (Eucalyptus)
Patience (Rose)
Love (Chocolate)
Creativity (Cinnamon)
Peace (Tropical)
Perseverance (Ocean)
Spirit (Passion raspberry)

Each candle is 6.8 oz, and made from 100% soy wax. I love soy wax candles, because I think they smell better than regular candles. They will burn anywhere from 30-35 hours, are non toxic and smokeless, and come in a recyclable tin. Though, the tine is recyclable, I plan on “recycling” it myself- by peeling off the labels and cleaning out the inside, I think this would be the perfect size to put on my vanity to keep cotton balls, or cotton swabs dust free, and at arms reach.

These candles are meditation candles. They are made with the intention of helping you concentrate on a specific state of mind while meditating.

Aurorae sells the best reviewed yoga mats, yoga apparel, and yoga and meditation accessories online. You can browse their yoga mats, yoga bags, yoga apparel and other yoga accessories here.

Review: Manitoba Harvest "Hemp Hearts"

I had no idea what "hemp hearts" were until recently. I had heard people talk about how tasty hemp seeds were, but I had never seen them around in any of my grocery stores. So when I had a chance to review Manitoba Harvest's Hemp Hearts, I jumped on it. I am always trying to find ways to incorporate healthier and more nutritious ingredients into my food.

I didn't know what these were going to taste like, but I am certainly glad I gave them a try. I tried a few right out of the bag... different, but not bad. Imagine if a pumpkin seed and a sunflower seed had a baby together... that's what these taste like. So then I tried them on a salad. SOLD! These were great on salads!  Not to mention they made it way more filling! One serving has 10g of protein, and 3 grams of fiber! Not to mention the vitamins these have in them.

Then I decided to get a little more original with them... My husband had been bugging me for Blueberry Crisp, so I finally gave in and made it for him this afternoon... and instead of my topping of just oats, cinnamon and sugar, I also added some Hemp Hearts. I could notice the extra nuttiness in the crumb topping, but he didn't say a word. He didn't even know they were in there! So he got some extra protein and vitamins with his dessert tonight, HAHA!

I really loved this product!
10/10!

Review: Zim's Advanced Crack Creme and Max Freeze Continuous Spray

I was so happy to be able to try out these two products. I guess I will talk with you first about the Zim's Advanced Crack Cream with Hydrocortisone.  I tried this product first, and wow! I was really impressed. I have been hoarding this in my bedroom. I decided to do something that I have never done in my entire life, mow the lawn. I have tons of allergies, but I got a bug up my but and decided "what the heck? I'm going to try it." I actually loved mowing the lawn, taking something ugly and making it looks new again. Our grass was pretty long... but I digress.

After finishing and coming in the house, I was miserable. I was covered in dirt, and pollen, and I was SO ITCHY. So I jumped in the shower. After I was dried off, I started noticing the amount of bug bites and sun burn I received... and I was even more miserable. It was like a light bulb went off in my head. *Ding Ding* I thought, I should try Zim's Cream with the hydrocortisone in it. On the tube, it says it can be used for bug bites, but I also put it on my sunburnt shoulders. Talk about immediate relief! Not just from the bug bites, but it also helped take the burn away from my sunburn! I am trying to save this for this summer for our yearly camping trip. This is going to be a life saver this summer.

The other product I was able to try was the Max-Freeze Continuous Spray. My husband has fell in love with this product. He works long 12-16 hour days, and he is on his feet that entire time. A few days ago, he came home and his back was really sore... he immediately went to lie down. I thought about giving him some Tylenol, and then I remembered that I was sent this product. "Why not?" I thought "Ill give it a try." It was super easy to apply, I just had to spray it on and rub it in a little bit. Within minutes he said his back was feeling better.

I loved both of the products I was sent- I will probably purchase some more of their products to try out.

Review: Nature's Best- Java Pro

I have tried Whey Protein before, but I have never tried anything like Java Pro. Java Pro comes in five different flavors:

Espresso
French Vanilla
Latte
Caramel
Mocha
Hazelnut

I received the caramel flavor to try. This was so delicious. Easily the best Whey Protein drink I have ever tried. This really reminded me of a "fancy" coffee drink, which is to be expected because it has coffee in it! The Java Pro Caramel Flavor is only 110 calories per serving, and contains 20 grams of Protein! Wow! This also contains just about every vitamin and mineral you could think of in it. This tasted great!

These are great for athletes, or even the everyday person who is need of a "Get up and Go".

Nature's Best ins the second most recognized sports nutrition brand in America. They have many other products as well.

Review and Giveaway: Glysona

Some of you know me in real life, and some of you only know me from my ramblings on this blog, but you all are going to get to know me a little better in this post. Many of you don't know, that I have a hard time sleeping... Like a really hard time. I stay awake at night, and think about everything possible that had went wrong with that day. I worry about every little thing, to the point where I end up giving myself panic attacks. Usually I am lucky to get 4 hours of sleep. I absolutely refuse to take sleeping pills, or any other type of pills, unless I really need them (like when I get a migraine). I easily get stressed out, even by things that would be just normal everyday problems for anyone else. Because I worry so much, I get very little sleep. Sometimes I am up for over 48 hours, until I finally just give in and crash... and even then, I will only sleep for about 8 hours, only to start the cycle all over again. So for all of these reasons, I was extremely excited to be trying Glysonna.
Glysonna is a drug-free sleep aid, glycine fortified with added wellness nutrients which helps you to reach restorative sleep by:

a) Triggering relaxation.
b) Sustaining sleep.
and
c) Initiating the natural sleep process.

My biggest issue when trying to fall asleep is learning how to relax. I can't. I hardly have ever been able to. I gave Glysonna a try a few nights ago... I wasn't sure how it was going to work, seeing as it is mostly all natural ingredients. Within about 15 minutes I was relaxed and sleepy. I went in my bedroom, lied down, and fell right to sleep. I even slept for a whole 8 hours, and woke up more refreshed than I have been in a long time.

Glysonna contains only 5 calories, no carbs, no sugars, no gluten, and no artificial flavors or colorings. This contains vitamins as well!

I loved this product, and will be buying more in the future!
10/10

Review: Red Leaf Tea

Red Leaf Tea Review

I was very excited to be able to review a few Red Leaf Tea Products. I was sent three different varieties of Matcha to try: CaramelMatchaccino, Caramel Matcha, and Cheesecake Matcha. My favorite was the Caramel Matchaccino. The amount of different flavors that Red Leaf Tea offers is insane. They have over 100 different flavors! Including: Chocolate, Strawberry, Acai Berry, and even an Aphrodisiac flavor!

Matcha is one of the tastiest and healthiest green teas available. It is rich in antioxidants, and is a dietary supplement enhancer, which surpassed health benefits you receive from any other green tea. Matcha Tea helps with the fighting of cancer, and has a high fiber content.

Matcha Tea has many health benefits including:
·      Mood enhancement
·      Weight loss
·      Blood detoxification
·      Antioxidant richness
·      Cancer Fighting Properties
·      Disease prevention
·      Energy boosting
·      High Fiber Content

I have to say, I thought this stuff would be awful… The color is very bright, but it was delicious! I would gladly start drinking this everyday, especially after seeing the many benefits of it. It was very easy to make also. I opted to try the Hot Latte version, but you can also make a Frappe using ice and a blender. The flavor was wonderful, and not overpowering. You can taste the flavor, and the green tea, but it is not a strong taste. I could easily drink this instead of drinking coffee. I seldom drink coffee now, because it gives me a stomachache, and this tea definitely didn’t. It tastes just a good as a coffee drink, but is better for you!

I loved these Matcha drinks!
10/10!
