10 Must Have Beauty Items On A Budget

1) I think one of the most important beauty items you can have in your arsenal is a good foundation. Whether that be a powder, or cream, or liquid, you need something to even your skin tone. Go with the lowest coverage you are comfortable with, to let your natural skin tone shine through!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Just Because of Summer

I realized a few days ago that I have been extremely slacking in the Make-up part of my blog. I thought about last it last night, and i decided that today I wanted to attempt to get a makeup look up. I did a "summer themed" look today that I thought I would share with you. I used a palette that I don't use very often, and thought "hey, why not, let's try some Orange today." This is what I came up with.
What does everyone think? I used all pearl finishes. I think it is a very "Summery" color scheme. Maybe next time I will try it with Bright greens or blues :)

Review: Logona Natural Body Care and Cosmetics

Logona Cosmetics

I will admit, I am a makeup addict. I especially hold a special place in my heart for natural makeup. Especially natural makeup that WORKS.

When I received my package of Logona Cosmetics, I was so surprised. Everything I received was packaged beautifully. I received four different products: Cream foundation Perfect Finish in Light beige, Eyeshadow trio 01, Concealer Cream 01 in Pearl, and Fluid Eyeliner in Black.

My favorite product I received was the Cream foundation. I love the coverage, and the way it applies. It is a medium coverage cream foundation, but covers my imperfections well, while still letting me skin shine form underneath. I have a problem with freckles, especially in the summertime. The sun makes them really pop out, and I try to cover them up as much as I can. I was out in the sun for a while this afternoon, and then came inside to do my face for the pictures for this review, and this did a great job covering my freckles! This does not go on cake-y, and looks natural when applied.

The Concealer is also a miracle worker. I have really dark under eye circles and this does a great job covering them up! Great pigmentation and coverage. This is absolutely spectacular for my under eyes. Now when I go way too long without sleep, no one would notice. This has been a lifesaver the past week or so.

Check out my face! I used LOGONA Products for this look!

Now, for the eye shadow. This new trio has been my go-to eye shadow since I got it. The shadows are so creamy feeling; they blend absolutely wonderfully. The are build-able and the colors go together perfectly. I don’t know how many times I have bought an eye shadow palette, and the colors CLASH! Basically making them unusable together. This is not the case with these. Great quality, and they last all day. They also have basically no fallout, which is great for pearly finish eye shadows.

Lastly, I want to tell you about the Fluid Eyeliner. How many times have you worn liquid eyeliner and it flakes?! That has to be my biggest pet peeve when it comes to eyeliner. I wear liquid eyeliner everyday, and I have to say Logona’s is THE BEST I have ever tried. It’s super dark, and it’s not thick, so you can get nice thin lines if you want. And it stays ALL DAY LONG. Great Product!

I did not receive anything from there that I didn’t love. Their products are also Natural!

Strict ingredient quality standards have always been fundamentally important to LOGONA product formulation and manufacturing. LOGONA products utilize the highest quality, natural raw materials, such as premium vegetable oils and waxes, herbal extracts and essential oils derived from organic agriculture and wildcrafting.

Logona Also does not test on Animals! It is very hard to find quality makeup in this day in age where the company does not test on animals! I finally found a cosmetic line that I can feel good about using!

Review: DreamEyes Circle Lenses

Everyone has seen those Sci-Fi movies, where the heroes or Villains have the coolest colored eyes, and have wondered, "I wonder what those would be like?" Well, I am here to tell you, they are awesome!

I have never put contacts in before EVER, and though it took me a few minutes to get in after trying a few different methods, I got them in place. I wore them for about 8 hours, and though I noticed them at first, just because it was a different feeling, as the day grew to a close, I couldn't feel them on my eyes at all!
I received lots of compliments on how my eyes looked, even my mom said she would like to try a pair to see what she would look like with a different color eye.
I tried the Natural Violet Circle Lenses, because I wanted a color that wasn't "normal". I have to say, I absolutely LOVED them! I paired them with a purple smokey eye, and was astounded by how great they looked! I would definitely purchase another pair of Circle Lenses from DreamEyes!

If you are looking for a way to make your looks pop, then order a pair of these circle lenses. They were comfortable to wear, and easy to get in and out once I realized what I was doing. They have many different colors and patterns, something to fit everyone!

Review: John Paul Pet Ear & Eye Pet Wipes

John Paul Pet products are made by the Co-Founder of Paul Mitchell! They have been nice enough to help us finish up Pet week! I will be reviewing one of their products every day for the rest of the week! I have to say, these products certainly make it easier to clean  up my dogs and cats. At the end of the week I will be putting up a Giveaway for some of their products!

The fir item I tried were the Eye and Ear wipes. Every one who owns animals knows the woes of Eye boogies. Animals get them just like people do, I tried these on my cat first, cleaning around his eyes and ears. he didn't seem to mind it, and it cleaned his ears well. Then I tried them on my dog. They also cleaned his ears well, though you could tell he was definitely not used to the wipes. If I sued these regularly on my animals they would probably get used to them in no time.

The directed use is everyday. Though with my animals I don' think it is needed. If you have a small dog that gets tear stains easily you will love this product, so easy to use and it really cleans! I will continue to use these on my animals as needed.

John Paul Pet products are cruelty free, Tested on Humans first. They are also fragrance Free.

Review: Cowgirl Dirt Cosmetics

I was so  excited when my samples came in the mail from Cowgirl Dirt. As soon as I got teh package open I started swatching everything! Everything was beautiful! I received ten product samples, all different things from their line.
Eye shadow- Cowgirl Up
Eye shadow- Honey Suckle
Eye shadow- Pistol Pink
These three colors worked and blended so well together. I was able to create a pinky/purply smokey eye with them with the most ease. The pigmentation was some of the best I have ever seen with mineral eye shadows. Hardly any fallout at all. I was super impressed with these.

I also received Two Mineral powder foundations, in two different shades. Again, hands down the best mineral foundation I have ever tried. Very good coverage, and it didn't make my face look cakey.
I also got to try their concealer in Neutral Light. This was OK. Perfect for under the eyes, and is build-able to hide blemishes, though it takes a few layers. It sits very nice on the skin and doesn't give me any creases, or cause any excess oil production.
Their Cream foundation.... I am in love with. Great coverage, it feels great on your face, it's not heavy, and it doesn't make me break out, or cause dryness!! The most perfect foundation.

Their Yeehaw lipsticks are also wonderful. I loved the two shades that I got: Cash and Seattle Slew.

This is a great line of products, everything I received, I really liked.

Cowgirl Dirt products are made with the purest natural and organic ingredients. Our collection of mineral-based products not only enhances your natural beauty, but also contains vitamins, nutrients and anti-oxidants that nourish your skin. You can be confident that you will not only look your best, but feel your best when wearing Cowgirl Dirt!

I would rate these a 9/10!

Review: ToGo Spa!

I had a chance to review ToGo Spa. They offer "under eye patches" that help Soothe, Brighten, De-Puff and Hydrate. My fellow blogger and I both tried these out when they came in the mail today. We both suffer from under eye circles and bags. I am constantly rubbing my eyes, and I have been noticing how dry my under eyes are. I have also been noticing some fine lines around my eyes.

When we opened these up, they almost reminded me of giant contact lenses in texture. We put them on our face and waited 15 minutes as directed. They slipped down a little bit, but it wasn't that much of a nuisance, you can just slide them back into place. They give you a great cooling feeling.

After our 15 minutes was up, we pulled them off, and were presently surprised. I felt a difference almost immediately. My under eyes felt much firmer, and it wasn't dry anymore. My friend said the same thing! The only Con to these is that the package that they come in was hard to open, but for such a great product, packaging concerns can be overlooked.

I loved these, and would look into purchasing some.

I would give these a 9/10!

Review: BASTAR Pro Makeup

I was lucky enough to be able to review an eye shadow palette, and body shimmer base from BASTAR Makeup. As many of you know, I love cosmetics of any kind. I take makeup reviews extremely seriously.

I started out with an eye shadow base, as you should with any eye shadow. It is not fair to give a review on eye shadow without first using a primer. I was presently surprised with Bastar's makeup. In the palette I received, I got neutral colors, which is great because they go with everything and I wear those most often. I was able to create an entire eye look out of the palette without having to use any other filler colors. The shades were all very frosty finishes, verging on glittery, which is great, considering they sell performer makeup. I was more suprised however by the lack of fallout, though still some, there was no where near as much as with other brands. I would buy their eye shadow palette's again.

The Body Shimmer Base that I received was a product that I had never tried before. I was also pleased with this. It is a great product for any costume makeup or even adding embellishments to your eyes. I tested it out on the back of my hand, and it kept my glitter perfectly in place.

I would rate this product 9.5/10 (losing 1/2 a point form minor fallout).

Product Review: ELF 36 Color Palette in "Everyday"

I purchased this palette after I had already purchased the other two 36 color palettes, and I have to tell you, I wish I would have bought this one first, because I love it the most! Most of the colors swatch well, easily blend-able, and build-able. Some of the more "Glittery" colors have a bit of fallout, but that is pretty normal for glittery finish shadows. I still love all the shades, and this is the perfect size to travel with. it has all sorts of colors from highlight shades to dark crease shades. The Everyday Palette also has some shades that you can use to "spice up" your look, including some blues and pinks.

This Palette is definitely a great buy, and I would recommend it.
I give this product a 9/10.
Losing a point for the fallout in the glittery shades.

Product Review: ELF Cream Eyeliner

I have had this product a little over a month now. I couldn’t be happier with it. I have heard a lot of people say that theirs is dried out. Mine have not. I would also like to give those people who are worried about it drying out a little tip: Add a little bit of clear makeup primer to the top of it and spread it around. Just so it covers it. It will help re-moisturize the product, without hurting the integrity of it.
ELF Cream Eyeliner: 5/5 Stars
I will be showing a comparison of this product to AVON’s SuperShock Cream eyeliner. Just to give you all an idea.
WIN_20140303_091712WIN_20140303_091721WIN_20140303_091749
Avon’s Super Shock Crème Eyeliner in Blackened Metal- This product is flaky and hard. Even when it was brand new it never gave me the color and pigmentation I wanted.
Here are ELF’s Cream Eyeliner in Coffee and Black:
WIN_20140303_091950WIN_20140303_092000WIN_20140303_092037WIN_20140303_092052WIN_20140303_092100WIN_20140303_092135
You can tell by the pigmentation just how great and smooth these eyeliners go on. As you can see from the pictures, I have used quite a bit of these, and I don’t have a bad word to say about them. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a cream eyeliner. Plus- at $3.00 a product, you just can’t beat it.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the time between posts- I've been sick with a cold, and have had other things going on in my life. But I did not forget about you!! I also currently have a new addiction... There is one thing you don't know about me... I'm addicted to TV. Though sometimes I think I am ADD when it comes to watching shows. My newest obsession is Smallville.. I never watched it while it was playing on TV, and then i just currently was able to watch the first season. I love it! but anyway- here is the video I promised you- it has been on my YouTube channel for a week or so, but I thought I would upload it here for you also.

Uploading Palette Collection!!

Hello All!
I am uploading my Palette Collection video to YouTube right at this moment. For some reason though now, it takes AGES for a video to upload.. last night it took All Night Long. Literally. I started it while I was awake and it went until like 5 this morning. Luckily for me, I was sleeping for most of it. I thought I would try uploading into a different format today, but it is still taking an unbelievably long time to process and upload. Maybe it's my internet connection?
Anyway! As I did with my Peacock Eye Shadow Tutorial, I will post the video here once it is uploaded (So probably tomorrow morning).
Here is some information on my palettes that I currently have until my ELF order comes in (which will HOPEFULLY be tomorrow, weather permitting).

The first Palette is a 24 color Profusion Palette. The colors are very vibrant and pigmented, but I would recommend a primer and setting spray, as they do tend to wear off easily.
The Next palette is a 15 Color Concealer Palette. I bought this product from Amazon. I love love love these concealers. The coverage is great, and the colors are easily blend-able and turn almost powdery once set.
The next THREE palettes were all one in the same. The same Palette in different shades. The ELF 36 Color Eye Shadow Palette. These come in three different varieties, Everyday, Brights and Natural, I show all three in my video. I love ELF shadows, and I love the company. It's one of my favorites!
The Next palette is a 66 Color Lip Palette. This palette has every color under the sun in it, and all the colors are great. it does have a very weird smell to it, but it does not bother me. If you are one of those people which smell bothers you, then I wouldn't recommend this product.
Next up is a 6 Color Contour Palette. I love this palette. They are all matte colors, and easily build-able for an everyday or dramatic look!
The next palette is a Blush Palette. I couldn't find the exact palette that I purchased, but this one is similar. I love the colors in this palette! There is a perfect tone for everyone, from the lightest to the brightest shade.
In my video I show 2 other eye shadow palettes- One that I made, and one that was given to me as a gift. As I don't know the brand or where it was purchased, I can't give you guys a link :( The profusion palette is similar, so you could purchase one of those. The colors are great and very pigmented.
The last palette is (I remembered the brand) A Color Workshop (at least I am fairly certain) Palette. i sadly, could not find a link to this product as I think it was some sort of limited edition palette. It's your basic 96 color eye shadow palette that you can find anywhere.

And those are my palettes as of right now... I'm super excited to get my other three in the mail soon! As well as the other products I ordered... Hopefully I remember to film the unboxing, before I rip everything open like a kid on Christmas morning.

Again- Thanks for listening to my rambles. Have a great day!!

Peacock Eye Shadow Tutorial!

This is the Eye Shadow tutorial I filmed yesterday! As I type this i am also working on editing my palette Collection video :D YouTube literally took AGES to upload this video, so I'm going to try and play around with file formats... blah blah blah. Anyway! I hope you all have a great and wonderful day!!

Going out look...

I just did my friends makeup for a date. I have to edit the video, because there are several times I stepped in front of the camera. I will put a finished look up tomorrow.
She never wears full faced makeup, and that is exactly what I did, complete with countouring and a winged out smokey eye.
Stay tuned for pictures and videos.
