Review: Perky Jerky

I love jerky. Most of you know this if you have read my blog for any period of time. It's one of my favorite snacks. I was able to try two different kinds of jerky from Perky Jerky: Turkey and Beef. My personal favorite was the Beef. 




Jerky is a very hard thing to review, well, food in general is, because everyone has very different tastes. I really liked this jerky though. It was different from what I would normally buy in the store. This jerky has a sweeter taste to it. Nevertheless these were great. When you bite into a piece it was nice and tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell the time the company put into their flavors. 

Perky Jerky contains NO:

• Fat
• perservatives
• Nitrites
• or Added MSG

Each serving is only 60 calories and contains ELEVEN grams of protein! Talk about a power snack! I was extremely satisfied with Perky Jerky!

Review: Shelton's Poultry

I was given the chance to try some of Shelton's Poultry Products. I was very impressed my what they sent me: Turkey Jerky, Turkey Snack Sticks, Turkey Chili, and canned chicken. 

I tried the turkey jerky first, and let me tell you! This is Turkey Jerky done how it's supposed to be! It was so rich in flavors, I couldn't believe it. The Hot&Spicy Turkey Jerky also had very good flavor, but wasn't my favorite because it was spicy. We've been over this before... I'm a whimp. 

The Jerky snack sticks come in three different flavors: Original, Pepperoni and Jalapeno. Weirdly enough, the jalapeno was my favorite flavor! It wasn't spicy enough for me to not like it, and the chunks of Jalapeno gave it great flavor. The Original is tougher than the Pepperoni, but Still just as great. 

I was given two kinds of their chili to try, and both were excellent. Some of the best store bought chili I have ever had. Almost as good as homemade. The Mild flavor was my personal Favorite.

Review and Giveaway: Fatman's Beef Jerky!

Fatman's Beef Jerky sent me a Taste 'em All package, which includes a 1oz bag of each of their flavors, and there are a lot of flavors: BBQ, Cajun, Chipotle, Cowboy Style, Green Chili, Habenaro, Jalapeno Lime, Lemon Pepper, Maple Brown Sugar, Original, Red Chili, Salt & Pepper, Sweet and Spicy And Teriyaki. They have a flavor for everyone!

Fatman's jerky is very lean, and very thin cut, just the way I like my jerky. You really have to chew it. It reminds me of my dad's jerky he woudl make when I was little, except I think Fatman's is better, because of the variety of flavors!

Fatman's only uses fresh ingredients to create all of the delicious flavors, and they also use no preservatives. Fatman's is low in Calories and High in Protein! No pre-made sauces are used to flavor the jerky. 

I really Loved this stuff! The flavors were great and it reminded me of my childhood. I would eat this everyday if I could.

Review: Jimmy's Sticky Jerky

I was so excited when I was able to try Jimmy's Sticky Jerky. The name sounds funny, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved this stuff. The flavor from this jerky is awesome! Because of the stickiness, I think the flavors are much more prevalent. You bite into a piece and it packs so much flavor it's insane.

I tried Beef Sweet, and Beef Black Pepper, and I honestly can't tell you which one I liked better. They are that good. I sat and thought about which one I would tell you I liked better, and I really can't give you a straight answer. I love them both equally as much!.

Jimmy's Sticky Jerky contains No additives or preservatives, so after you open the package, be sure to put it in the refrigerator.... unless you eat a whole package in one sitting like I did. I should feel guilty... but I don't. It was delicious and worth it. Jimmy's Sticky Jerky also contains no ingredients that I cannot pronounce, which I love. That way I know exactly what I am eating.

This is also great for people who are on Atkins. Jimmy's Sticky Jerky is high in protein and low in carbs. I absolutely loved this stuff!

Product Review: Nick's Sticks

When I saw my package of Nick's Sticks come in the mail, I might have actually flew to the mailbox. Okay, that may be an understatement, but I was really excited. I opened the package right away, and my husband and I tried them. They were awesome! Jerky/Jerky sticks are some of my favorite snacks in the whole world. Both me and my husband both liked the spicy ones the best. I preferred the Spicy turkey and he preferred the spicy beef. I am a super whimp when it comes to spicy things, but these had just the right amount of heat, and I love that you get that heat purely from jalapenos! I read over the ingredients and was astonished. Most jerky snacks have so many ingredients, and most of them you can't even pronounce, but Nick's Sticks really are "All of the goodness, and None of the Garbage".

Gluten Free

I also would like to add, that I really appreciate the way Wallace farms treats the animals that will eventually become food. I grew up on a farm, and learned at a very young age where the meat we eat comes from. Our animals were never neglected, and had plenty of room to play, and graze, and I would like to think they lived a very happy life.
