Review: Sheila G's Brownie Brittle

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I had never heard of Brownie Brittle until recently. I thought it would be like a peanut brittle, almost like a candy. It wasn't, which I am perfectly okay with because I'm not a huge fan of peanut brittle. Sheila G's Brownie Brittle is actually more like a cookie. Either way, whatever you want to categorize it under, it's delicious.

Though I'm not usually a huge lover of crunchy non-gooey cookies, I cannot deny the fact that I love brownies. I opened the toffee flavored first, and much to my dismay, the bag disappeared. Ok, it didn't disappear... I ate it. All of it. In one day. It was that good. You get the flavor and chocolate goodness of a brownie, combined with the best part of the brownie... the crispy edges.

I was also able to try three other flavors, as well as the toffee:
- Mint Chocolate
- Salted Caramel
-Chocolate Chip

Though, the toffee was definitely my favorite flavor, the Mint chocolate was a very close second. This definitely will satisfy your sweet tooth and craving for chocolate!

I also think that these would be great in Stocking for Christmas time. I love getting snacks and candy in my stocking, and I definitely wouldn't be upset if Santa left me a bag of Brownie Brittle! This is perfect for adults and children, basically anyone who loves brownies!

Review: Food Should Taste Good

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I will be the first person to admit that chips are not my favorite snack. Regular potato chips drive me bonkers, sure they taste good, but the amount of salt in them always left me feeling "blah". I have to say though, these "chips" I received from Food Should Taste Good, were absolutely awesome.

I was able to try four different flavors:
- Multigrain
- Guacamole
- Kimchi
- Sweet Potato

The Sweet Potato flavor was definitely my favorite, followed by the guacamole. Kimchi was my least favorite. It was just a little too "wild" for me. Though, my husband really liked them. Food is one of those things that is hard to review, because everyone likes different things. I promise you though, you will not be let down by the quality and flavor of these snacks.

Review: Shake The Crave!

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I have tried lots of diets. LOTS of them. I never have the willpower to stick to them because I feel like I am missing out of every delicious food that everyone else is eating. I get cravings, who doesn't? One of my biggest cravings though? Chocolate. And Pizza. Now, I am sure a Pizza flavored Shake would be absolutely disgusting, so I will settle for a chocolate shake.

I absolutely DREADED trying these shakes, I wanted to wait until the right time. I finally gave Shake the Crave a try. Oh man, I wish I hadn't waited so long! I tried the chocolate one first, because, you know, Chocolate! I was expecting something completely different when I tried these.. I thought it would taste "diety". Nope. Not even close! The chocolate was delicious! It was actually really rich and chocolatey. Oh it was great! I made mine in my shaker cup (Cyclone Cup) and it mixed well.

Then I tried the vanilla. I didn't think it could be better tasting than the chocolate, but it was! The vanilla was definitely my favorite!

About 30 minutes after finishing my very first shake, my body felt so much more energized, like I had just taken a nap! These were BY FAR the very best "Diet" shakes that I have ever tried! One of the best parts about these is that they are made with 100% Pure ingredients!

Review: Paleo Meenut Butter

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

A lot of you know that I love eating and reviewing nut butters. Growing up, the only kind of "nut butter" I ever had was Peanut Butter. However, since starting my blog, and looking for healthier products, I have experienced a lot of different kinds and flavors of nut butters.

I was able to review Paleo Meenut Butter, and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. This is thicker and more coarsely ground than the other butters I have tried in the past. The best part about this is that it is handmade. You can tell by the flavor and packaging just how much care went into making this product. I loved it on my wholegrain Rice Thins.

The ingredients in this ROCKED!

  • California Almonds
  • Organic Coconut
  • California Organic Walnuts
  • Pecans
  • Organic Macadamia Nuts
  • Organic Golden Flax Seeds
  • Organic Sunflower Seeds
  • Sonoma Sea Salt
You can also add Honey or maple to this to make it sweeter, but I liked it just how it was. I could never go back to regular peanut butter after trying and experiencing the flavors of other nut butters. This is the closest thing to a more "chunky" butter that I have tried, since it is coarsely ground. I loved it.

Review: Perky Jerky

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I love jerky. Most of you know this if you have read my blog for any period of time. It's one of my favorite snacks. I was able to try two different kinds of jerky from Perky Jerky: Turkey and Beef. My personal favorite was the Beef.

Jerky is a very hard thing to review, well, food in general is, because everyone has very different tastes. I really liked this jerky though. It was different from what I would normally buy in the store. This jerky has a sweeter taste to it. Nevertheless these were great. When you bite into a piece it was nice and tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell the time the company put into their flavors.

Perky Jerky contains NO:

  • Fat
  • perservatives
  • Nitrites
  • or Added MSG
Each serving is only 60 calories and contains ELEVEN grams of protein! Talk about a power snack! I was extremely satisfied with Perky Jerky!

10/10!

Review: Infused Spreads

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

Every loves the classic peanut butter and jelly, and up until recently... that is all I thought Jams were good for. I remember being very small and having my grandma make me breakfast every morning; each morning it was the same thing: Scrambled eggs with White Cheddar cheese, and toast with strawberry jam. I had the same breakfast every day, for about 3 consecutive years. To this day it is still one of my favorites. I had always loved Strawberry Jam, and never really gave other jams or jellies a chance.

I received 4 different Spreads to try:
- Strawberry lavender
- Blueberry Ginger
- Raspberry Jalapeño
- Orange Chipotle Marmalade

All of these were very different than any spread or jam I have ever tried before. My husband enjoyed all of them except the marmalade, my personal favorite was the Strawberry Lavender. Though I also liked the Raspberry Jalapeno.

The Orange Chipotle Marmalade was one that I just really wasn't sure what to do with. You certainly cannot put this on a sandwich or toast. I tried it plain, and it was definitely not something that I would eat by itself, so I pondered about this product for a while... and then it clicked. Grilling.
I love to make chicken on the grill, and usually we use bbq sauce, but instead, we used This Orange Chipotle Marmalade. This made the chicken so amazingly filled with flavor. If you like "orange chicken" from Asian restaurants, you would absolutely LOVE this.

I would also like to add that Infused Spreads does not pack unnecessary ingredients into their spreads. For Example: The Blueberry Ginger Jam contains only four ingredients- Blueberry, Sugar, Ginger and Citrus!

Many of their spreads would be great for a cheese tray. I loved the different flavors, and i loved experiencing something that I hadn't before. Be adventurous with your food!

Review: Skout Organic Trailbars and Trailpaks

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I usually am not a huge fan of energy type bars, mostly because they are always dry and tasteless. I was very wary of trying these bars, because of all of the bad experiences I have had previously. I tried one of the chocolate flavored ones first, because I was craving something sweet.

When I blog, I blog at nighttime, and I end up craving sweet things. Instead of eating a candy bar, or something unhealthy, I tried these trail bars, and I have to say, I was very impressed with the flavor, and the texture. These were moist and packed with flavor. They also gave me a boost of energy, and I was able to keep on track while I was writing. I was able to try all five flavors:
- Blueberry Almond
- Apple Cinnamon
- Cherry Vanilla
- Chocolate Coconut
- Chocolate Peanut Butter

These bars are Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Dairy and Soy Free, contain naturally occurring Protein, Fiber and vitamins, and contain no refined sugar or fillers.

The other product I was able to review from Skout, was Raw pumpkin seeds. I was very impressed with these! When I was a kid, on Halloween we would toast the pumpkin seeds after we hollowed out of jack o lanterns. After trying these Raw seeds, especially with the flavorings on them, I don't think my plain old toasted seeds will be as satisfying. They are very fresh, and the portion size is quite a lot. If you are feeling the "slump" in the middle of the day, these would be a very good snack. I like to keep these next to my computer if I start to get that "snacky" feeling. They help me curb my appetite, and keep me on track, so I don't have to get up and break my concentration by going and grabbing a snack.

I was able to try all three of the flavors:
- Black Pepper BBQ
- Jalapeno Salsa
- Sea Salt

My favorite flavor was without a doubt, the Black Pepper BBQ. Each serving size contains 10 grams of protein.

I loved both of these products. I would recommend them to anyone. If you are an active hiker, these were made for you, but even if you are a busy mom, looking for a pick me up throughout the day, or accidentally skipped breakfast or lunch, these would be great!

Review: Mia Tempo "Me Time" in Springtime

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

What a few days it has been. My energy has been completely drained. Between Blogging, opening my Etsy Shop, and trying to balance my personal life, I hardly find time for myself and only myself. We all have those moments. When we just want to lock ourselves in our bedrooms and let everyone just fight it out... pig out on snacks and watch Netflix for hours, while you are painting your toenails every color of the rainbow, because, well, why not?
This Mia Tempo "Me Time" box came at the perfect time for me. Instead of locking myself in my bedroom and eating junk food, watching tv, and painting my nails, I was able to spend that time pampering myself. I also probably saved myself some calories!
This "Me Time" box came with everything you need to pamper yourself right in your own home! I was very happy with the quality of the products that were in the box, and that they were all full sized! Not to mention they smelled amazing, and left me feeling refreshed.

I think my favorite products out of this box was the Refreshing Mist and the Moisture gloves. Quality products, that smell great! I love Mia Tempo! This box was just what I needed to start relaxing. There products are also all natural!

Review: P28

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.
Sliced Bread, Bagel, Sample sizes of Spreads
All delicious!

I have been using an app on my phone, that tells me what sort of nutrients that I lack in my daily diet. Turns out, I lack protein, almost every day. Protein is one of the most vital things that you need to eat, and I definitely don't eat enough of it. I was surfing the internet one day, and I stumbled across P28. What makes P28 so special is that each of their bread products contain 28 grams of protein!

I was able to review a bagel, a flatbread, and their regular sliced bread, as well as a variety of their high protein spreads.

I tried the flatbread first, I wasn't a huge fan of that. I do not care for regular flatbreads though either, so that was not a surprise to me. If you enjoy flatbreads though, you would probably love this!

The next product I tried was the regular bread, and i have to say, I loved this. It was very dense. Perfect for sandwiches. Filled with seeds, and packed with flavor.

The last bread product I tried was the bagel. This bagel was so dense. But the flavor was great! By the time I took a bite of the second half, I was full. I tried this with the different spreads, and that just made it better.

Review: Naked Infusions Gourmet Salsa

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

During the summer, my family tends to have a lot of barbecues, and one of our favorite things to have is chips and salsa to go along with our burgers, or brats. I have tried a lot of different salsa's, and I tend to be very picky.

Naked Infusion's Gourmet Salsa is unlike any salsa I have ever had. They are "Infused" with other flavors. "Ok," you may be thinking, "What's so special about that?" I will tell you. have you ever had salsa infused with the flavor of Garlic? Ok, maybe you have. But I sincerely doubt you have had salsa infused with espresso, or Bleu Cheese. I can hear you all now, "Ew.... Espresso?" Yes! And the best part about these "weird" flavors? They were amazing. Of all of the flavors I tried, I think the espresso was my favorite! The Bleu Cheese was my least favorite, it reminded me of enchilada sauce.
One thing I do have to say, is that if you are looking for a chunky salsa, these are not for you. They have very little chunk to them. The flavors though, are awesome.

I would recommend these to anyone who loves Salsa! The extra "infusions" really kick it up a notch!

Review & Giveaway: MarketSpice Tea

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

Everyone who has visited my blog already knows that I am a tea fanatic. I would so much rather be drinking a glass of ice-cold tea, than a glass of pop. I suppose this is a good thing, because tea has many natural health benefits, while pop is basically pure sugar with artificially colors and flavorings in it.

This time, I am reviewing MarketSpice Tea in Cinnamon Orange. Marketspice Tea was established in 1911, and originated in Seattle’s Historic Pike Place Market. The Cinnamon Orange is their signature tea.

I tried this tea two different ways- a lighter brewed iced tea, and a darker brewed hot tea. I did not like this tea at all when I left it to steep in hot water, It was very strong. Though, I take the blame of that on myself, I probably left it in the water too long. However, When I let this steep only for a little bit (1-2 minutes) and then made it into iced tea, it was wonderful.

Though this tea reminds me a lot of the holiday season, probably from the cinnamon in it, the orange really steps it up and makes it suitable to drink any time of the year.
This is a Black tea, not a Green Tea, which I prefer. I know a lot of people prefer Black over green, and I am one of them. I was almost surprised when I read the ingredients and found out this contains no sugar! The natural sweetness of the orange gives it a sweet flavor.

I will certainly be checking out MarketSpice Tea’s other flavors!

Review: Manitoba Harvest "Hemp Hearts"

I had no idea what "hemp hearts" were until recently. I had heard people talk about how tasty hemp seeds were, but I had never seen them around in any of my grocery stores. So when I had a chance to review Manitoba Harvest's Hemp Hearts, I jumped on it. I am always trying to find ways to incorporate healthier and more nutritious ingredients into my food.

I didn't know what these were going to taste like, but I am certainly glad I gave them a try. I tried a few right out of the bag... different, but not bad. Imagine if a pumpkin seed and a sunflower seed had a baby together... that's what these taste like. So then I tried them on a salad. SOLD! These were great on salads!  Not to mention they made it way more filling! One serving has 10g of protein, and 3 grams of fiber! Not to mention the vitamins these have in them.

Then I decided to get a little more original with them... My husband had been bugging me for Blueberry Crisp, so I finally gave in and made it for him this afternoon... and instead of my topping of just oats, cinnamon and sugar, I also added some Hemp Hearts. I could notice the extra nuttiness in the crumb topping, but he didn't say a word. He didn't even know they were in there! So he got some extra protein and vitamins with his dessert tonight, HAHA!

I really loved this product!
10/10!

Review: Zevia

I am a huge Pop (Soda) drinker. It is one of my biggest downfalls. I try to drink diet when I can, but then I have to deal with Aspartame most of the time. It's a never ending cycle. I was so happy when I stumbled across Zevia, while searching the web.

Zevia is a Zero Calorie Soda with No Sugar and No Artificial Sweeteners. It is Vegan, Kosher and Gluten Free.

I was sent several different kinds to try. My favorite was the Cherry Cola. The only one I didn't like was the Cream Soda. My second favorite was the Grapefruit Citrus, it tasted just like Squirt.

Zevia is available in 15 different flavors! Wow!

Zevia uses a combination of Stevia, and Monk Fruit extract to sweeten their sodas, they call it SmartSweet.

Not to mention, and I compare the two cans of soda in front of me, one being Zevia's Grapefruit Citrus (The empty can) and the other being a popular Diet soda... Zevia also has less sodium! This is huge for my husband and I because we tend to eat way more sodium than we should. He loved Zevia.
