Review: Energems

I lack energy, and i will be the first person to admit that. I don't like to drink coffee for energy, as almost every time I drink it, it gives me a stomach-ache. I have officially found my new best friend- Energems.

These have been such a lifesaver in the past few weeks. I received three different flavors to try: Chocolate peanut Butter, and Mint. The mint flavor was my favorite. These are basically giant chocolate M&M's, packed with vitamins and caffeine.

I take three of these when I am lacking "get Up & Go" during the day. You can take up to Nine of these for maximum energy. Though, I find 3 to be sufficient for me.

Whether you’re a computer programmer, supermom or college student, being anything but your best is not an option. Review: Barbara's Cookie Pies

I had the pleasure to review one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my lifetime: Barbara's Cookie Pies! I got to try the Peanut Butter Cup Pie, and Oh Man- It was divine.

The peanut butter was so creamy, and the crust was amazing... Everyone in my house loved it! It was gone in a day! Though I wanted to hoard this to myself, I shared with everyone.

Barbara's uses quality ingredients in her pies and you can tell. Check out these ingredients!

Ingredients: 

Cookie Pie Crust:

Fresh creamery butter, sugar, unbleached flour, real vanilla, whole eggs

Topping:

Whipped peanut butter, confectioner’s sugar, real vanilla , real semi-sweet chocolate

I don't know if you have read the labels on the desserts at the grocery store, but I can almost guarantee you, that you would find some sort of chemical or preservative in there. I love that I know what all the ingredients are, and though this is not considered "healthy", it is , in my opinion, better than loading your body up with chemicals. 

Each pie/cookie is handmade. The crust, instead of a traditional Pie crust, is a butter cookie crust! You can eat this with a fork, but I would recommend just picking it up and eating it with your hands. Barbara's makes all sorts of wonderful goodies!

Review: Artisana Nut Butters

Since I have started my blogging adventure, I have learned a lot of things. Most of them being, that it really does matter what you put in and on your body. I have a few Facebook friends who always talk about eating "raw", and up until I tried these butters, I had assumed "raw" meant "bland". That is so NOT the case. I can honestly tell you that since I have been eating better, more organic, even Vegan items, that I can feel the difference in my body. I do not get stomach pains every day like I used to, and I have even lost weight! After reading over several different labels on many different organic products, I realized that products are so much better without all of the additives!

When I received my shipment of Artisana Nut Butters, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I had never tried anything like these before. The only "Nut Butter" I had ever tried was Peanut Butter, and I use that term lightly. Many Peanut Butters are packed with things that don't belong in Peanut Butter!

I tried the Cashew butter first, as cashews are my favorite nuts in the entire world. I tried it plain first, Oh man, It was so delicious. It was creamy, and it sticks to the roof of your mouth like you would expect it to, and it tasted exactly like Cashews! of course, it should, because the only ingredient in this butter is Organic Raw Cashews. Then I tried it on graham crackers... and I was in heaven. I gave some to everyone in my household to try, and they all loved it also.

I was also sent a jar of raw organic Coconut Butter. This was a little different than I expected. I did try this plain, and it is very good, but I don't think I would eat this plain. I think they would be absolutely wonderful in a smoothie. I also think this particular butter would be great for making Coconut Shrimp. It has a sweetness to it, but it is a natural sweetness, because, as well as with the Cashew butter, it only has one Ingredient, Organic Raw Coconut.

I was also sent a variety of packets containing their different flavors of nut butters. I think my favorite out of the packets I was sent was the Chocolate Paste with Rose. Sounds different, I thought for sure I wouldn't like this one, but I loved it. Just as good, if not better than the common Hazelnut Chocolate Spread we all know and love.

All of the products I received were Vegan, and Kosher and Gluten Free!

The next this in the box that I tried was NeoCell's Beauty bursts. I have been hearing wonderful things about these products lately (I will be doing a review on another NeoCell product soon). These tasted great and are packed with vitamins to make you more beautiful!

Next, were Smarty pants Gummy vitamins for grownups. They are an all in one multivitamin, made for adults. They are made with only Organic sweeteners, with no high fructose Corn Syrup. I tried these, and they were unlike any gummy vitamin I have ever tried. The reminded me of Sour Patch kids! Very good, and very good for you.

Next, was MeStrength, a powdered drink mix packet that includes electrolytes and Creatine. It contains Zero carbs, Zero Calories, and Zero sugars! You use this before and after workouts. Helps kick start your metabolism.

My box also included WhiteShield. They are little packets that you mix into your coffee to prevent and remove staining on your teeth. Everyone who drinks coffee needs these little packets!

The last thing in my box was a KIND Dark Chocolate and Chili Almond bar. this bar contains 6 grams of protein!! As well as 7 grams of Fiber, and only 5 grams of Sugar! That's crazy. now go look at the nutritional information on that box of granola bars you have sitting in the cupboard. makes you want this one more right?
