Review: Food Should Taste Good

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I will be the first person to admit that chips are not my favorite snack. Regular potato chips drive me bonkers, sure they taste good, but the amount of salt in them always left me feeling "blah". I have to say though, these "chips" I received from Food Should Taste Good, were absolutely awesome.

I was able to try four different flavors:
- Multigrain
- Guacamole
- Kimchi
- Sweet Potato

The Sweet Potato flavor was definitely my favorite, followed by the guacamole. Kimchi was my least favorite. It was just a little too "wild" for me. Though, my husband really liked them. Food is one of those things that is hard to review, because everyone likes different things. I promise you though, you will not be let down by the quality and flavor of these snacks.

Review: Canyon Bakehouse

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I will be the first to admit, I always thought Gluten Free goods, would be lacking in flavor. I have tried Gluten free candies, and a couple other products, but never anything that I would eat on a regular basis, until now.
I was sent a few different products to review from Canyon Bakehouse-
7 Grain Bread
Rosemary & Thyme Focaccia
Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Hamburger Buns

I am usually not a huge sandwich fan, because usually the bread I eat, is flat, and when you add mayo or mustard, it turns sort of… mushy. The first product that I tried, was the 7 Grain Bread. I don’t think I have ever had a better bread than this. This was perfect for sandwiches. I raved about this bread. The flavor and texture was absolutely perfect.

The next product I tried was the Rosemary Focaccia bread.  This was my least favorite product. The flavor was good, but I thought it was dry. I added some Olive Oil and sun-dried tomatoes to mine, and that made it exponentially better.

The Cinnamon and Raisin Bread was also very good. I loved this for breakfast. Perfect by itself or just with butter.

The last product I tried was the Hamburger Buns. These were GREAT! They were able to handle a very thick and juicy burger. They didn’t fall apart either.

Canyon Bakehouse products are GMO Free, Gluten Free, Kosher, and Dairy Nut and Soy Free.

I loved their products, and I would switch my everyday bread over to Canyon Bakehouse product in a heartbeat.

Review: Zevia

I am a huge Pop (Soda) drinker. It is one of my biggest downfalls. I try to drink diet when I can, but then I have to deal with Aspartame most of the time. It's a never ending cycle. I was so happy when I stumbled across Zevia, while searching the web.

Zevia is a Zero Calorie Soda with No Sugar and No Artificial Sweeteners. It is Vegan, Kosher and Gluten Free.

I was sent several different kinds to try. My favorite was the Cherry Cola. The only one I didn't like was the Cream Soda. My second favorite was the Grapefruit Citrus, it tasted just like Squirt.

Zevia is available in 15 different flavors! Wow!

Zevia uses a combination of Stevia, and Monk Fruit extract to sweeten their sodas, they call it SmartSweet.

Not to mention, and I compare the two cans of soda in front of me, one being Zevia's Grapefruit Citrus (The empty can) and the other being a popular Diet soda... Zevia also has less sodium! This is huge for my husband and I because we tend to eat way more sodium than we should. He loved Zevia.

Review: Upfront Granola

I received all three flavors of upfront Granola to try: pecans & Almonds, Straight up granola, and Granola with cranberries. My absolute favorite was the granola with Pecans and Almonds. I ate this in my light and fit yogurt for breakfast... and can you say Yum? Because I sure did! I also loved munching this right out of the bag.

Straight up Granola is certified Vegan and is a non GMO product. They use 100% whole grain and are Kosher Certified. This granola is made to order and great with Milk or yogurt. They are portion controlled; they come in a 1/2 cup serving "grab and Go" pouch.

Can we be up front with you? There is no secret ingredient in Upfront Foods’ granola. In fact, our granola is so good because we have nothing to hide. Our business is not complicated, in fact, it is the exact opposite: simple, healthy food granola with no artificial ingredients. There’s just no room for hiding any secrets with only 9 straightforward ingredients in our signature granola, Upfront Nutty. There are no preservatives in our three granola flavors or no artificial ingredients and the 100% whole grain cereal, is Kosher certified and they have Non GMO Project verification. We make our granolas in small batches and package in a convenient “grab & go” ½ cup serving pouch to make it convenient for an easy healthy breakfast or a quick and healthy snack. You’ll even find the nutrition label right on the front of the package so it’s easy to decide for yourself how our granolas fits into your healthy lifestyle! It’s simply part of our honest-to-goodness promise to help make your life easier and more healthful at the same time.
“Let’s face it; mornings can be the most hectic part of our day. Who has time to make a healthy breakfast? All natural lunch box treats or healthy snacks can be a challenge, too. The creation of Upfront Foods’ granola began with my search for an easy healthy breakfast or healthy snack and the realization that finding a simple whole grain cereal or healthy snack was not so simple. I was tired of overly processed products that touted “Natural”, but whose long labels hid complex and artificial ingredients. I wanted real food that was healthy, delicious and easy.
I realized if I wanted to make it simple and healthy, I had to make it myself. I carefully chose the highest quality ingredients I could find, and found myself busy making granola for family and friends who encouraged me to start selling it. Today, we are still on a quest to make uncomplicated food that tastes great. We buy from trusted suppliers…. organic whole grain oats, golden flaxseed from a 5th generation farm family in North Dakota, 100% maple syrup from a 7th generation family farm in Vermont, brown sugar and crunchy nuts…nothing artificial and nothing to hide…just real ingredients from sustainable food sources.
Happily, my granola is simply delicious! I want everyone to taste how honestly good granola with no artificial ingredients can be, and that’s how Upfront Foods was born. Isn’t it time to simplify your life?!”

Review: Artisana Nut Butters

Since I have started my blogging adventure, I have learned a lot of things. Most of them being, that it really does matter what you put in and on your body. I have a few Facebook friends who always talk about eating "raw", and up until I tried these butters, I had assumed "raw" meant "bland". That is so NOT the case. I can honestly tell you that since I have been eating better, more organic, even Vegan items, that I can feel the difference in my body. I do not get stomach pains every day like I used to, and I have even lost weight! After reading over several different labels on many different organic products, I realized that products are so much better without all of the additives!

When I received my shipment of Artisana Nut Butters, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I had never tried anything like these before. The only "Nut Butter" I had ever tried was Peanut Butter, and I use that term lightly. Many Peanut Butters are packed with things that don't belong in Peanut Butter!

I tried the Cashew butter first, as cashews are my favorite nuts in the entire world. I tried it plain first, Oh man, It was so delicious. It was creamy, and it sticks to the roof of your mouth like you would expect it to, and it tasted exactly like Cashews! of course, it should, because the only ingredient in this butter is Organic Raw Cashews. Then I tried it on graham crackers... and I was in heaven. I gave some to everyone in my household to try, and they all loved it also.

I was also sent a jar of raw organic Coconut Butter. This was a little different than I expected. I did try this plain, and it is very good, but I don't think I would eat this plain. I think they would be absolutely wonderful in a smoothie. I also think this particular butter would be great for making Coconut Shrimp. It has a sweetness to it, but it is a natural sweetness, because, as well as with the Cashew butter, it only has one Ingredient, Organic Raw Coconut.

I was also sent a variety of packets containing their different flavors of nut butters. I think my favorite out of the packets I was sent was the Chocolate Paste with Rose. Sounds different, I thought for sure I wouldn't like this one, but I loved it. Just as good, if not better than the common Hazelnut Chocolate Spread we all know and love.

All of the products I received were Vegan, and Kosher and Gluten Free!

Creating uniquely delicious, healthy, gourmet food is a work of passion for us. Using the most careful attention to detail and quality and handmade with care, our organic live foods are crafted using a special temperature controlled process that preserves the life-essential fatty acids, enzymes, vitamins and minerals.

I loved these butters, and I also love that you can use them for so many different things. You can eat them plain, in smoothies, sauces or desserts!
I would give these a 10/10!
