Review: Rust-oleum Painter's Touch Spray Paint, and DIY Project

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I love to DIY. Though I don't exactly consider myself artistic, or really that talented, I do enjoy taking old things, and making them look new, and better than they did before. One of my favorite things to do, is paint old bottles, or ugly figurines one solid color. You can take anything and paint it a solid color and it takes on a whole new look. I decided to share with you a project that I was able to easily save half of the time I would normally spend on something like this, just because of one product- Rust-oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Paint and Primer.

I found an empty wine bottle sitting on my counter, and decided to revamp it a little bit. I love the look of groups of these together, when they are all painted, or even as an over sized bud vase.
You can use any old bottle for this, even an empty beer bottle.

First: Wash the bottle out, you don't want anything but a nice clean bottle on the inside. The last thing you want is your decor smelling like alcohol.

Second: Peel off as much of the labels as you can get off. This works better if you run the label under hot water. The sticky residue left over you can either try to clean off with a multi purpose cleaner, or use a product like, Goo Gone. I used Goo Gone. It's easier. You can pick some up at any local store.

Third: Now that the labels and sticky gunk is off from your bottle, wash the outside of it. You don't want any sort of oils stuck to the glass.

Last: Once the bottle is clean and dry, take it to a well ventilated area, and spray paint it. You want to hold the can 10-16 inches away from your bottle. Let your bottle dry completely.

Now, Usually I have to do 2-3 coats of spray paint to get the coverage I like on a bottle like this. I was so surprised once it was dry, and I picked it up, that I didn't even NEED a second coat! Seriously, if you have any kind of project you need paint for, this is totally worth the money. This is easily like having 2-3 cans of regular spray paint!

This Spray Paint also bonds to- Plastic, wood, metal and more!

Review: Nature Geeks Skincare Products

I have learned to love natural skincare more than anything lately... I have noticed that since I have been using quality natural products, my face is clearer, and I am so much happier about it.
I received three different products to try from Nature Geeks:

Conscious Skincare "Lemon and Rosewoods Hand Wash"
This cleanses without drying out hands, and is great for tired hands, This is a cruelty Free product. It contains no synthetic preservatives, parabens or phthalates. This smelled great, but wasn't overpowering and left my hands soft and clean.

Enkido Clear Infusion
This is for acne and pimple prone skin. It is designed to reduct and prevent the appearance of pimples and acne. This contains, vitamin B3, colloidal Oatmeal, Beta-Glucan, Hyaluronic Acid and many more beneficial ingredients. You mist this all over your face... I have been using this daily, and I have noticed quite an improvement in my complexion, and the way my face feels! My skin is much more softer, and after using this it feels clean. This was my favorite product that I was sent.

Conscious Skincare "Enrich Night Cream"
A little goes a long way with this. This has Organic Cocoa Butter and fair trade Shea Butter in it. This keeps your skin soft a supple, and keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay. This was probably my other favorite. So often, I have problems with moisturizers leaving my face with a greasy residue, which ends up making me break out. This, on the other hand, was absolutely perfect. It had a nice smell, and didn't leave my face greasy at all! This also seemed to help my sunburnt nose, sometimes creams irritate sunburns, and this one definitely did not!

All Products are Vegan friendly, not tested on animals, and packaged using recyclable materials. All of these products smelled wonderful! The scents were not overpowering in the least. I have a somewhat sensitive nose, and strong smells sometimes give me a headache... but these were absolutely perfect. I loved all of these products.

Review: Logona Natural Body Care and Cosmetics

Logona Cosmetics

I will admit, I am a makeup addict. I especially hold a special place in my heart for natural makeup. Especially natural makeup that WORKS.

When I received my package of Logona Cosmetics, I was so surprised. Everything I received was packaged beautifully. I received four different products: Cream foundation Perfect Finish in Light beige, Eyeshadow trio 01, Concealer Cream 01 in Pearl, and Fluid Eyeliner in Black.

My favorite product I received was the Cream foundation. I love the coverage, and the way it applies. It is a medium coverage cream foundation, but covers my imperfections well, while still letting me skin shine form underneath. I have a problem with freckles, especially in the summertime. The sun makes them really pop out, and I try to cover them up as much as I can. I was out in the sun for a while this afternoon, and then came inside to do my face for the pictures for this review, and this did a great job covering my freckles! This does not go on cake-y, and looks natural when applied.

The Concealer is also a miracle worker. I have really dark under eye circles and this does a great job covering them up! Great pigmentation and coverage. This is absolutely spectacular for my under eyes. Now when I go way too long without sleep, no one would notice. This has been a lifesaver the past week or so.

Check out my face! I used LOGONA Products for this look!

Now, for the eye shadow. This new trio has been my go-to eye shadow since I got it. The shadows are so creamy feeling; they blend absolutely wonderfully. The are build-able and the colors go together perfectly. I don’t know how many times I have bought an eye shadow palette, and the colors CLASH! Basically making them unusable together. This is not the case with these. Great quality, and they last all day. They also have basically no fallout, which is great for pearly finish eye shadows.

Lastly, I want to tell you about the Fluid Eyeliner. How many times have you worn liquid eyeliner and it flakes?! That has to be my biggest pet peeve when it comes to eyeliner. I wear liquid eyeliner everyday, and I have to say Logona’s is THE BEST I have ever tried. It’s super dark, and it’s not thick, so you can get nice thin lines if you want. And it stays ALL DAY LONG. Great Product!

I did not receive anything from there that I didn’t love. Their products are also Natural!

Strict ingredient quality standards have always been fundamentally important to LOGONA product formulation and manufacturing. LOGONA products utilize the highest quality, natural raw materials, such as premium vegetable oils and waxes, herbal extracts and essential oils derived from organic agriculture and wildcrafting.

Logona Also does not test on Animals! It is very hard to find quality makeup in this day in age where the company does not test on animals! I finally found a cosmetic line that I can feel good about using!

Review and Giveaway: Kicking Horse Coffee

How do you start your morning routine? Chances are the first thing you do after you wake up is go and start the coffee pot. Since coffee is such an integral part is most households’ mornings, shouldn’t you be drinking coffee that makes you feel great? Though I am not a huge coffee drinker personally, the rest of my household definitely is! My mother, who is just not herself without her morning POT of coffee, would agree with me. Kicking Horse Kick-Ass Coffee is definitely a great way to start off your day.

“In the summer of 1858, James Hector set out to discover the Kicking Horse Valley. His expedition took him through some of the most beautiful and rugged country in the West. During a river crossing, one of the packhorses kicked Hector so hard that others in the expedition mistook him for dead. As they began to bury poor old James, they noticed his eye twitch. The legend says it was a stiff cup of Kick Ass Coffee that brought him back to life!”

I received the Kick Ass Dark roast to try. It promises to be Sweet, Smoky and audacious, and it does not disappoint.

Kicking Horse Coffee uses organic coffee grown in the shade of the rainforest canopy, providing a natural environment for birds and plants. These condition off superior quality and maintain a healthy and balanced Ecosystem.
They also use cans to package your coffee in. As cans are the most recycled product in the world, it keeps less waste out of the landfill.

“Recycled steel uses 75% less energy to reproduce and can be recycled an infinite amount of times. So the next time you see this [kicking horse coffee can] it may be a part of your new toaster or refrigerator. It keeps your coffee fresher too.”

Kicking Horse Coffee is also a fair trade product. Fair trade ensures that farmers receive a fair price regardless of the market forces.
I also have to add that the aroma of this coffee is wonderful. Even with it being in the can, I can smell it. Every time I walk past our “coffee spot” in the kitchen I can smell this coffee. Everyone loves the smell of coffee!

I love this product! Kicking Horse Coffee has also generously allowed me to do a giveaway for my readers!
