Review: Ageless Derma Mineral Foundation

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

 Ageless Derma Mineral Foundation

Everyone knows that makeup is a huge passion of mine, so I get super excited. I was thrilled to be able to review Ageless Derma Mineral Foundation. I chose the shade "Barely There" because I am very fair skinned.

I had never tried mineral pressed powder before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I love the packaging on Ageless Derma products, and I love that the compact includes a mirror for those little touch ups. You also receive quite a generous amount, as the pan is quite large.

My first impressions of this product was that it was very silky. I loved the way it applied to my skin, though usually I prefer a more full coverage. This would be great over liquid foundation to set it for all day coverage.

One thing I didn't like, was the applicator that came with it. I usually have this problem with most applicators. I end up throwing them away. I think using the same pouf over and over again can become unsanitary, so I would rather use brushes. I also think you would get a much better application and finish using a face brush.

I love that Ageless Derma products are NOT tested on animals. This is very important to me, and when I can help it, I try not to buy products that are tested on Animals. This product also contains various vitamins and minerals to help out your skin!

I think this is a great product! This would be great for people who want a medium coverage foundation, or who want to set a liquid foundation.

You can buy this Product Here!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

10 Must Have Beauty Items On A Budget

1) I think one of the most important beauty items you can have in your arsenal is a good foundation. Whether that be a powder, or cream, or liquid, you need something to even your skin tone. Go with the lowest coverage you are comfortable with, to let your natural skin tone shine through!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Just Because of Summer

I realized a few days ago that I have been extremely slacking in the Make-up part of my blog. I thought about last it last night, and i decided that today I wanted to attempt to get a makeup look up. I did a "summer themed" look today that I thought I would share with you. I used a palette that I don't use very often, and thought "hey, why not, let's try some Orange today." This is what I came up with.
What does everyone think? I used all pearl finishes. I think it is a very "Summery" color scheme. Maybe next time I will try it with Bright greens or blues :)

Review: Adventuress

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

"The Adventuress Skin Care Collection was designed for active women living adventurous lifestyles"

It is June, which means, that at least where I live, it is starting to get swelteringly hot. Which also means for me, that my skin is getting FRIED from being outside even for a little while. I also live in a fairly sandy area, so the dust and dirt in the dry part of summer is unbelievable. I was able to review the Fearlessly Refreshing Facial Wipes, and the Vividly Restorative Skin Purifier.

I have tried cleansing wipes before, and none of them were even close to comparing to these. My skin felt clean and moisturized. I was really surprised by how thick the cloth wipe was. Most facial wipes are so thing they stretch and roll when you use them on your face. You can even see through them sometimes! These Adventuress Wipes, were really thick, and had just the right amount of solution on them. I was able to clean my whole face without the wipe drying out.

Feature Benefits: - Seven plant extracts protect against Rosacea, rash and itchiness
- Reduces melanin (age spot) production, prevents pigmentation
- Anti-inflammatory
- Soothes and hydrates
- Disposable, individually packaged, biodegradable towelettes
- Fragrance and alcohol free

The Vividly Restorative Skin Purifier was equally as awesome. I have noticed my skin is looking a lot more radiant and clear since I have been using this. This feels and looks almost like a face primer, what you would put under your foundation if you really want it to stick. This is very easy to apply. One pump is able to do my entire face. It spreads easily, and it does not leave my face sticky. Out of the two products this was my favorite!

Feature Benefits:
- Decongests environmentally stressed skin
- Reduce breakouts - Micronutrients replenish skin cells
- Airless dispenser keeps out contaminants
- Fragrance free and paraben free

These were both really great products!
10/10!

Review: Soap & Glory "Sexy Mother Pucker"

I am extremely picky when I am spending cash on cosmetics- especially a lip product! I don't know how many times I have purchased a product hoping that it would be the best ever, only for it to let me down miserably. Then the product sits in my drawer, until it either goes in the garbage or I give it away. So when I say I absolutely love a product, you know I am telling you the truth.

I have tried other "lip plumping" glosses before with not Much Success. They either didn't work at all, or they burned the crap out of my lips. Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker gloss is Absolutely Wonderful! It makes my lips look bigger and stays on for hours, without burning my lips. It does tingle though, it is actually kind of tickly. The color I received was absolutely wonderful (Punch Bowl). I will definitely be visiting Sephora in the near future to check out their other products! They have made me a customer for Life!

Review: Logona Natural Body Care and Cosmetics

Logona Cosmetics

I will admit, I am a makeup addict. I especially hold a special place in my heart for natural makeup. Especially natural makeup that WORKS.

When I received my package of Logona Cosmetics, I was so surprised. Everything I received was packaged beautifully. I received four different products: Cream foundation Perfect Finish in Light beige, Eyeshadow trio 01, Concealer Cream 01 in Pearl, and Fluid Eyeliner in Black.

My favorite product I received was the Cream foundation. I love the coverage, and the way it applies. It is a medium coverage cream foundation, but covers my imperfections well, while still letting me skin shine form underneath. I have a problem with freckles, especially in the summertime. The sun makes them really pop out, and I try to cover them up as much as I can. I was out in the sun for a while this afternoon, and then came inside to do my face for the pictures for this review, and this did a great job covering my freckles! This does not go on cake-y, and looks natural when applied.

The Concealer is also a miracle worker. I have really dark under eye circles and this does a great job covering them up! Great pigmentation and coverage. This is absolutely spectacular for my under eyes. Now when I go way too long without sleep, no one would notice. This has been a lifesaver the past week or so.

Check out my face! I used LOGONA Products for this look!

Now, for the eye shadow. This new trio has been my go-to eye shadow since I got it. The shadows are so creamy feeling; they blend absolutely wonderfully. The are build-able and the colors go together perfectly. I don’t know how many times I have bought an eye shadow palette, and the colors CLASH! Basically making them unusable together. This is not the case with these. Great quality, and they last all day. They also have basically no fallout, which is great for pearly finish eye shadows.

Lastly, I want to tell you about the Fluid Eyeliner. How many times have you worn liquid eyeliner and it flakes?! That has to be my biggest pet peeve when it comes to eyeliner. I wear liquid eyeliner everyday, and I have to say Logona’s is THE BEST I have ever tried. It’s super dark, and it’s not thick, so you can get nice thin lines if you want. And it stays ALL DAY LONG. Great Product!

I did not receive anything from there that I didn’t love. Their products are also Natural!

Strict ingredient quality standards have always been fundamentally important to LOGONA product formulation and manufacturing. LOGONA products utilize the highest quality, natural raw materials, such as premium vegetable oils and waxes, herbal extracts and essential oils derived from organic agriculture and wildcrafting.

Logona Also does not test on Animals! It is very hard to find quality makeup in this day in age where the company does not test on animals! I finally found a cosmetic line that I can feel good about using!

Review and Giveaway: HoneyCat Cosmetics

When I received my package from HoneyCat Cosmetics, the first thing I noticed about the products was the absolutely adorable packaging. I mean, kitty cat themed bath products, are adorable all on their own, but then to put the bath salts in a Sardine tin? How Adorable. I love it when companies actually take the time to think of cute ways to market their products, instead of just throwing them into any old jar or bottle.
The next thing I want to talk about, is how these products SMELL! When I opened the body wash I was sent, my mouth started watering. The most delicious smelling body wash I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. My olfactory was singing. That may be an exaggeration, but you get the picture.
I was also sent Body creme and Body butter. My first reaction was "Why did they send me the same thing?" They are definitely not the same thing. The body butter is a really thick, stiffer cream, I think this would be better for rubbing on your feet, knees and elbows. The skin everyone always seems to forget about. The body Creme, looks as if it for all over moisture. And of course to smell good, because these also smell great!
One of the other things I was sent, was a Vanilla grooming Bar. Can I just say that this smells so delicious? This works into a nice thick lather and leaves your skin feeling soft and smelling absolutely wonderful. Again, the packaging on this is cute!
The last thing that I received in the box was Chocolate Bath Melt Treats. Possibly the most adorable thing in the box. They come packaged in a flip top box with an attached bow. Inside, I originally thought there were only 4 bath melts, but as it turns out, there are indeed 8. They are stack on top of each other like real chocolate!
The ingredients on all of these are also surprising. The bath melts for example, contain only; Mango Butter, Aloe, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E and Fragrance. How amazing is that?

Honeycat products are created and developed by owner Theresa Spruill. A veritable feast for your skin that we know you're gonna love! Honeycat makes grooming time an event. Our products promise pleasure for your entire body. They are sexy, sensual, safe and chock full of what's-good-for-your-skin-stuff. Review: Cowgirl Dirt Cosmetics

I was so  excited when my samples came in the mail from Cowgirl Dirt. As soon as I got teh package open I started swatching everything! Everything was beautiful! I received ten product samples, all different things from their line.
Eye shadow- Cowgirl Up
Eye shadow- Honey Suckle
Eye shadow- Pistol Pink
These three colors worked and blended so well together. I was able to create a pinky/purply smokey eye with them with the most ease. The pigmentation was some of the best I have ever seen with mineral eye shadows. Hardly any fallout at all. I was super impressed with these.

I also received Two Mineral powder foundations, in two different shades. Again, hands down the best mineral foundation I have ever tried. Very good coverage, and it didn't make my face look cakey.
I also got to try their concealer in Neutral Light. This was OK. Perfect for under the eyes, and is build-able to hide blemishes, though it takes a few layers. It sits very nice on the skin and doesn't give me any creases, or cause any excess oil production.
Their Cream foundation.... I am in love with. Great coverage, it feels great on your face, it's not heavy, and it doesn't make me break out, or cause dryness!! The most perfect foundation.

Their Yeehaw lipsticks are also wonderful. I loved the two shades that I got: Cash and Seattle Slew.

This is a great line of products, everything I received, I really liked.

Cowgirl Dirt products are made with the purest natural and organic ingredients. Our collection of mineral-based products not only enhances your natural beauty, but also contains vitamins, nutrients and anti-oxidants that nourish your skin. You can be confident that you will not only look your best, but feel your best when wearing Cowgirl Dirt!

I would rate these a 9/10!

Review: BASTAR Pro Makeup

I was lucky enough to be able to review an eye shadow palette, and body shimmer base from BASTAR Makeup. As many of you know, I love cosmetics of any kind. I take makeup reviews extremely seriously.

I started out with an eye shadow base, as you should with any eye shadow. It is not fair to give a review on eye shadow without first using a primer. I was presently surprised with Bastar's makeup. In the palette I received, I got neutral colors, which is great because they go with everything and I wear those most often. I was able to create an entire eye look out of the palette without having to use any other filler colors. The shades were all very frosty finishes, verging on glittery, which is great, considering they sell performer makeup. I was more suprised however by the lack of fallout, though still some, there was no where near as much as with other brands. I would buy their eye shadow palette's again.

The Body Shimmer Base that I received was a product that I had never tried before. I was also pleased with this. It is a great product for any costume makeup or even adding embellishments to your eyes. I tested it out on the back of my hand, and it kept my glitter perfectly in place.

I would rate this product 9.5/10 (losing 1/2 a point form minor fallout).

Product Review: ELF 36 Color Palette in "Everyday"

I purchased this palette after I had already purchased the other two 36 color palettes, and I have to tell you, I wish I would have bought this one first, because I love it the most! Most of the colors swatch well, easily blend-able, and build-able. Some of the more "Glittery" colors have a bit of fallout, but that is pretty normal for glittery finish shadows. I still love all the shades, and this is the perfect size to travel with. it has all sorts of colors from highlight shades to dark crease shades. The Everyday Palette also has some shades that you can use to "spice up" your look, including some blues and pinks.

This Palette is definitely a great buy, and I would recommend it.
I give this product a 9/10.
Losing a point for the fallout in the glittery shades.

Review: Wet n' Wild Ultimate Match Foundation

I recently purchased this foundation at my local Kmart. They are going out of business and it was 50% off, so I thought "why not?"
I was not expecting much from a Wet n' Wild foundation. For the most part I am pleased, though this is a light/medium coverage and I personally prefer more full coverage. It blends together nicely, but you must do it quickly because it dries FAST. I would recommend doing you face in segments.
I do have to say, I love the way this sit on my skin, it is not heavy or cakey and looks very natural. It also blends with my natural skin tone very well.
For the price that I paid, I am very satisfied with this product, but will probably continue to use my other everyday foundation because it has more coverage.

I give this product an 8/10.

Today's MakeUp Look!

This is the eye look i am going out with today. Out for the afternoon with one of my girlfriends.

Review: Fresh Paint "Matte Topcoat"

I recently purchased Fresh Paint's Matte Topcoat. I had never tried a matte topcoat so for $2.00 at Five Below I thought I would give it a shot. I have purchased several of their others colors and really liked them. I have to say I'm not quite sure about this product, but I think that is just my personal opinion. I am so used to glossy nails the finish of my polish now kind of throws me off a little. Almost like and "unfinished" look. Though I think this would look a lot better if you put it over a dark polish, where I (as you can see in the picture) put it over a light Spring time color.

This polish does go on very easily and evenly, and dries quickly so you don't have much time to smudge it (which in my case is a very good thing).

When it first dries it seems a little more Matte then after a day or tow of wear... it starts to get a little shinier.

All in all, putting my personal tastes aside, if you love the Matte look, this would be a very good polish for you. I on the other hand prefer a "glossier" polish.

I would give this product an 8/10.

Product Review: ELF Cream Eyeliner

I have had this product a little over a month now. I couldn’t be happier with it. I have heard a lot of people say that theirs is dried out. Mine have not. I would also like to give those people who are worried about it drying out a little tip: Add a little bit of clear makeup primer to the top of it and spread it around. Just so it covers it. It will help re-moisturize the product, without hurting the integrity of it.
ELF Cream Eyeliner: 5/5 Stars
I will be showing a comparison of this product to AVON’s SuperShock Cream eyeliner. Just to give you all an idea.
WIN_20140303_091712WIN_20140303_091721WIN_20140303_091749
Avon’s Super Shock Crème Eyeliner in Blackened Metal- This product is flaky and hard. Even when it was brand new it never gave me the color and pigmentation I wanted.
Here are ELF’s Cream Eyeliner in Coffee and Black:
WIN_20140303_091950WIN_20140303_092000WIN_20140303_092037WIN_20140303_092052WIN_20140303_092100WIN_20140303_092135
You can tell by the pigmentation just how great and smooth these eyeliners go on. As you can see from the pictures, I have used quite a bit of these, and I don’t have a bad word to say about them. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a cream eyeliner. Plus- at $3.00 a product, you just can’t beat it.
