Review: Rust-oleum Painter's Touch Spray Paint, and DIY Project

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I love to DIY. Though I don't exactly consider myself artistic, or really that talented, I do enjoy taking old things, and making them look new, and better than they did before. One of my favorite things to do, is paint old bottles, or ugly figurines one solid color. You can take anything and paint it a solid color and it takes on a whole new look. I decided to share with you a project that I was able to easily save half of the time I would normally spend on something like this, just because of one product- Rust-oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Paint and Primer.

I found an empty wine bottle sitting on my counter, and decided to revamp it a little bit. I love the look of groups of these together, when they are all painted, or even as an over sized bud vase.
You can use any old bottle for this, even an empty beer bottle.

First: Wash the bottle out, you don't want anything but a nice clean bottle on the inside. The last thing you want is your decor smelling like alcohol.

Second: Peel off as much of the labels as you can get off. This works better if you run the label under hot water. The sticky residue left over you can either try to clean off with a multi purpose cleaner, or use a product like, Goo Gone. I used Goo Gone. It's easier. You can pick some up at any local store.

Third: Now that the labels and sticky gunk is off from your bottle, wash the outside of it. You don't want any sort of oils stuck to the glass.

Last: Once the bottle is clean and dry, take it to a well ventilated area, and spray paint it. You want to hold the can 10-16 inches away from your bottle. Let your bottle dry completely.

Now, Usually I have to do 2-3 coats of spray paint to get the coverage I like on a bottle like this. I was so surprised once it was dry, and I picked it up, that I didn't even NEED a second coat! Seriously, if you have any kind of project you need paint for, this is totally worth the money. This is easily like having 2-3 cans of regular spray paint!

This Spray Paint also bonds to- Plastic, wood, metal and more!

Review: Ozeri Green Earth Pan

I like to pretend I'm a 5 star Chef. Key word there is pretend. Granted, I have come up with some pretty good recipes, but most of the time... the phrase Epic Fail comes to mind.

I have used my fair share of pans, and most of them are less than wonderful, they are flat out disappointing. Until recently, I did not own a non-stick pan that was actually non-stick!

I was so excited to try out the Ozeri Green Earth Pan! I took it out of the box, and it was unlike any pan I have ever seen. It has a honeycomb pattern cooking surface. This pattern helps prevent food bonding for superior non-stick performance and easy cleaning. I thought, "Yeah Right, this is going to be a disaster." Wrong again, Caitlin, Wrong again. The first time I used this I was absolutely flabbergasted. Literally, nothing, and I mean NOTHING stuck to this pan.

The Green Earth Pan by Ozeri has Greblon ceramic coating from Germany. It contains NO heavy metals or chemicals, and is a durable scratch resistant ceramic. It has a silicone handle, is completely Eco-friendly, easy to clean and induction stove safe.

I cannot say enough good things about this pan! I even let my husband use it... who has a nasty habit of burning everything to the bottom of the pan... that didn't happen. he was able to make his lunch perfectly, without sticking anything to the pan. That makes me happy, because then I don't have to scrub the pan!

Review: Cowgirl Dirt Cosmetics

I was so  excited when my samples came in the mail from Cowgirl Dirt. As soon as I got teh package open I started swatching everything! Everything was beautiful! I received ten product samples, all different things from their line.
Eye shadow- Cowgirl Up
Eye shadow- Honey Suckle
Eye shadow- Pistol Pink
These three colors worked and blended so well together. I was able to create a pinky/purply smokey eye with them with the most ease. The pigmentation was some of the best I have ever seen with mineral eye shadows. Hardly any fallout at all. I was super impressed with these.

I also received Two Mineral powder foundations, in two different shades. Again, hands down the best mineral foundation I have ever tried. Very good coverage, and it didn't make my face look cakey.
I also got to try their concealer in Neutral Light. This was OK. Perfect for under the eyes, and is build-able to hide blemishes, though it takes a few layers. It sits very nice on the skin and doesn't give me any creases, or cause any excess oil production.
Their Cream foundation.... I am in love with. Great coverage, it feels great on your face, it's not heavy, and it doesn't make me break out, or cause dryness!! The most perfect foundation.

Their Yeehaw lipsticks are also wonderful. I loved the two shades that I got: Cash and Seattle Slew.

This is a great line of products, everything I received, I really liked.

Cowgirl Dirt products are made with the purest natural and organic ingredients. Our collection of mineral-based products not only enhances your natural beauty, but also contains vitamins, nutrients and anti-oxidants that nourish your skin. You can be confident that you will not only look your best, but feel your best when wearing Cowgirl Dirt!

I would rate these a 9/10!

Review: Bullet Designs Earrings

I received in the mail a pair of earrings from Bullet Designs. I love companies who "re-use" other items and make something completely new. Bullet designs does this with something I never would have thought of.
At Bullet Designs we give a whole new meaning to the phrase 'Going Green'! We recycle fired bullets and turn them into unique and unusual gifts - for men and women too!
At first look when I opened the box, I just thought there were regular earrings, and then I noticed the writing.. 9mm Luger! I was amazed. I ran to my husband and had him look at them, he thought they were the coolest earrings  he has ever seen. My husband loves to go out and target practice with his guns, and he used to own a 9mm, so he really loved these.

You would think that any earrings made form Bullet Casings would be really gaudy, but they weren't! You could wear these anywhere. A fancy party, or everyday wear.

I loved these and have been wearing them since I got them in the mail.
10/10!!
