Los Angeles, Calif., May 19, 2014 – Dogswell® today launched a national contest to raise awareness for animal adoptions in honor of National Pet Month. Review: John Paul Pet
Today was the last day of Pet Week, and closing out the week are the last products from John Paul Pet.
Tooth and Gun Wipes-
I tried these on my dogs. When I first opened the package I was hit in the face with a toothpaste smell. These were very minty. I used them on my Collie last night when I was trying all of the rest of these products out. She let me use them no problem on her, she even licked the wipe! These are great for stinky dog breath, but I wouldn't use them as a replacement for brushing your pets' teeth all together.
Oatmeal Conditioning Spray-
This was the star of the show. I love love love this product. My dogs all have longer hair, and they are always getting tangled. it's so hard to brush out snags in their hair without hurting the dogs. I was able to completely brush out my Collie, Nix, last night using this and the Waterless Foam Shampoo! It smells like a cookie, and her hair today is so soft and shiny, I could hardly believe it.
Body & Paw Pet Wipes-
I used these on my dogs paws. It has been very rainy and and they get so muddy. This worked great with cleaning them up quickly. This would also be good for cats who tend to stand in their mess in the litter box... I know mine sometimes do. There is nothing worse than getting nasty litter tracked all over your house. Most dogs end up having "Frito Feet" which is a bacteria on their paws that makes their feet smell like Corn Chips. No, I am not making that up. I think this product would also be great for taking care of that.
All of John Paul Pet Products were winners in my book! I loved each and every one of them. my favorite product was probably the Waterless Shampoo, an close second would probably be the Oatmeal Conditioning Spray.

Review: John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner
I will admit, I have used my own shampoo and conditioner on my dogs. I know, I know, it's probably bad, but regular old dog shampoo I think leaves their hair very crunchy feeling, and not soft at all. Why do humans condition their hair, yet we don't condition our dogs hair?
I was very excited to receive John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo and Oatmeal Conditioning Rinse. They day I received this, it was doggy bath day in our house. Zeke went first, I made my husband give him a bath, because sometimes he can be a little "wild" in the tub. Brian said that he did very good in the tub though, and didn't try to hop out even once. My husband raved at how soft and shiny his hair was afterwards.
Then it was my turn to do Neener. yes, my dogs name is Neener. It is a long story for a different time. She is an Australian Shepherd, and thankfully, she loves water. She watched Zeke when he came out of the bathroom, running around like he was on fire, and drying himself off on his towel. I asked her, "Do you want a shower?" and she ran right into the bathroom and jumped in the tub. I washed her how I normally would. She thought she was done when the shampoo was rinsed out of her, and tried to hop out, and then she seen me grab the Conditioner bottle. She got back in the tub so I could condition her fur. I have to say, I saw the most difference in her fur. She is so soft and smooth and fluffy. Her hair is kind of a pain to take care of, because when she gets wet it gets Kinky. making her hard to brush when he hair is wet. The conditioner made it so much easier to brush her, and she was so happy when she was done with her bath.
This shampoo and Conditioner contains Oatmeal, Aloe Vera, and sweet almond oil. I can tell you that you can definitely smell the almond oil! These products smell like almond cookies, and now so do my dogs! This is also perfect for dogs with sensitive skin, like my Collie.
I loved these products! I would look to purchasing more in the future!
I would give them a 10/10!

Review: John Paul Pet Waterless Foam Shampoo
Have you ever tried to give a cat a bath? Yeah, that's not going to happen. At least not with any of my cats! Well, when I received this particular product, I could not wait to try it out on my cats! I tried it on my siamese, who definitely does not like baths, and being as none of my cats are declawed, I don't feel like getting my face and arms scratched!
This product is a miracle worker. Everyone gives their dogs baths, but hardly anyone gives their cats regular baths, because of how afraid of water most cats are. Now you can!
I loved this product! It was so easy to use, and my cats smell great now! I also tried this on my dog, Zeke, and he wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he let me massage this into his hair, and I think he enjoyed it! This formula requires no rinsing, and is made with a blend of botanical oils that cleans and freshens your pets coat. This is perfect for cold weather, or animals that hate getting baths!
So far, this is my favorite product I have tried form the John Paul Pet Line! All of their products are tested on humans first (Cruelty Free!)

Review: John Paul Pet Ear & Eye Pet Wipes
John Paul Pet products are made by the Co-Founder of Paul Mitchell! They have been nice enough to help us finish up Pet week! I will be reviewing one of their products every day for the rest of the week! I have to say, these products certainly make it easier to clean up my dogs and cats. At the end of the week I will be putting up a Giveaway for some of their products!
The fir item I tried were the Eye and Ear wipes. Every one who owns animals knows the woes of Eye boogies. Animals get them just like people do, I tried these on my cat first, cleaning around his eyes and ears. he didn't seem to mind it, and it cleaned his ears well. Then I tried them on my dog. They also cleaned his ears well, though you could tell he was definitely not used to the wipes. If I sued these regularly on my animals they would probably get used to them in no time.
The directed use is everyday. Though with my animals I don' think it is needed. If you have a small dog that gets tear stains easily you will love this product, so easy to use and it really cleans! I will continue to use these on my animals as needed.
John Paul Pet products are cruelty free, Tested on Humans first. They are also fragrance Free.

Review: Skoy Cloth
I know that in my household we use a lot of paper towels. Not just one sheet at a time either. Spills Happen, and when they do, they generally require a wad of paper towel to clean up. Especially if they are animal related. These Skoy Cloths make clean up so much easier than paper towels. They are reusable and can be cleaned in the Dishwasher or Washer and Dryer. Each cloth is equal to about 15 Rolls of paper Towel! That's Crazy! I was even able to wash my walls with these. One rag and I was able to finish my whole bedroom! Then, When I was done, I rinsed it out, and it went right in the laundry pile. When the life of the cloth finally comes to an end, you can throw it in the garbage and it is completely biodegradable.
Using Skoy Cloths as a replacement for paper towel, will also save you money! A four pack of the cloth's is only $6.99!! How much does 60 Rolls (equal to four Skoy cloths) of paper towel cost you? Even a cheap roll of paper towel costs around a dollar. Not only are these better for the environment, they are better for your wallet!

Skoy also sells, scrubbers, and magnetic sink rails to hang your Skoy Cloth on! All of their products would be GREAT for Spring Cleaning!
Skoy is also starting a fundraiser program. You can find out more HERE!
You can find Skoy Online or At the Container Store!
I love this product! I would give it a 10/10!

Pet Week: Grandma Lucy's Review, From Brittany Review's it All!
Brittany, from Brittany Review's it all has agreed to let me feature her review on my blog for Pet Week! Please Check out her blog: www.brittanyreviewsitall.blogspot.com !
I am a big animal lover and love spoiling my animals, when I can. Currently, I am spoiling a Shi Tzu named Gem, and Shi Tzu mix name Gizzy and a Chihuahua mix named Tex. I received some healthy dog food and snack for them, I know some of you are probably like, 'why do you get healthy dog food? It's just a dog.' Well, that's wrong. Dogs have health issues just like you and I. They need to visit their vet like we need a doctor. So anyways, this company provides healthy, organic and all natural dog foods and treats.
I had to give my pups a treat, of course. So I gave them the Organic Oven Baked Peach flavored dog treats. They are shaped like cute little teddy bears and smell good. My dogs loved them! These treats are 100% natural, have no preservatives, no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, free of hydrogenated oils and trans fats. I had the peach flavor, but they also offer blueberry, pumpkin, apple, banana and sweet potato & cranberry.
The Natural Tiny Tidbits dog treats are cheeseburger flavored. They are freeze dried dog treats that are all natural, wheat free, have no by-products, no preservatives, made with hormone and antibiotic free meats, and are really great for training! Once again, the dogs loved them! They are made with USDA beef, rice flour, cheddar cheese, tomato sauce and garlic.
I then moved onto the dog food. It was weird, I've never seen dog food like this, all you do is add water. The Pure Formance freeze dried, grain free, rabbit flavored dog food is all natural, good for all life stages, easy to prepare, has no by-products, no preservatives and no corn or soy.
The benefits of the main ingredients in this food are:
- Rabbit: Rabbit meat is a lean meat that is high in protein, low in cholesterol which makes is great for the heart.
- Chickpeas: Packed with flavor, high in fiber, folic acid and protein. They have a low glycemic index which is great for making energy levels release slower, giving energy throughout the day.
- Carrots & Celery: Veggies used in their products are always used fresh. That makes the vitamin A, potassium, niacin and B vitamins come right from the source.
- Blueberries: Good source of pectin, fibers associated with colon health, along with many other nutritious benefits.
- Apples: High in potassium and good for the heart.
- Flaxseed: Great source of nutritious oils for healthy skin and coat.
The Pure Formance dog food comes in many other flavors other than the rabbit. All of their flavors are all natural as well as no by-products and so on. These dog foods are all freeze dried, so all you need to do it add water, mix it up and let it sit for a couple minutes.
They also offer Artisan freeze dried, grain free dog foods. All made with real veggies and fruits, meats and other ingredients. There is a cat menu too, for you feline friends. Go check them out! Who wouldn't want a healthier pet.
Review: Pure Bites

I have always wondered what dogs ate before there were big
dog food companies. Dogs have been man’s best friend for thousands of years,
but I can guarantee you thousands of years ago, their owners and friends
weren’t walking down to the supermarket to grab a bag of dog food. They ate
Meat! That’s why I was so excited to try these Pure Bites dog and Cat treats.
Pure Bites are freeze dried meats and seafood’s, in treat
form for your furry friends. The only
contain ONE ingredient. If you try the freeze Dried Chicken Breast, the package
contains only Chicken Breast. I have never felt better about giving my animals
treats.
I received 5 different flavors for my animals to try, 3
treats for dogs and 2 for cats. My dogs tried the Beef Liver, Bison Liver, and
Chicken Breast. I think their favorite was the Bison Liver. The smell of these kind
of put me off for a minute; they really smell like liver. I personally do not
enjoy the smell of Liver, but my dogs certainly do! They also really enjoyed
the Chicken Breast, but I think they preferred the Liver.
My cats were able to try the Chicken Breast, and Shrimp.
They all loved the Chicken Breast! They weren’t really sure what to do with the
Shrimp, except for my Siamese cat, Damon, he devoured these! They were his
favorite out of the two.
I am very impressed by these treats! They are high in
protein and low in Calories!

Pet Week: The Whisker's Syndicate Introduction
I have a message for all of your from straight from The Whisker's Syndicate! Raeosunshine Pet's is featuring them as her May rescue, in hopes to raise money to help animals who can't help themselves.
The Whiskers' Syndicate is the first, and the only animal sanctuary in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. As a breeder capital of the nation, Bandung is overflowing with unwanted animals of all breeds, and the stray management is often, if not always, too gruesome to be true. Sadly, the self appointed "big nation" has no animal welfare law, and conservation efforts are tainted by fearless corruption. Devoid of any protection, animals in Indonesia are victimized by poachers, illegal trade, excessive milling (breeding), and treatment unfit for “someone”. Be they household animals, farm animals, or those in the wild, they are treated as “things”. You will see some breeder get their kitty mill cat inside their motorcycle baggage cabin (that tiny, airless space under the saddle right at the side of gas tank) or tie their dog on an open truck bed and drive them miles away to the vet to find out when they can be mated again, rejecting the vets offer to treat some visible sickness on their dog. When they serve their purpose, they are either sold to flea market in cheap price, or just thrown away to the street, or onto the highway to meet their end. In the wake of such disaster, I am compelled to give my best effort in becoming the suffering animals' best friend, the way they have been man's best friends. Join our journey to Canaan: God's promised land of peace and happiness in our blog: Quest2Canaan (http://www.whiskerssyndicate.com). Sincerely,Josie And The Whiskers' Syndicate

Review: Natural Balance Pet Treats and Food
I have another Review for you in honor of Pet Week! I have to say, my animals are really spoiled taste testing all of these yummy treats. My cat Archer now thinks all boxes that come, have treats inside for him!
When I received this box, I opened it right up! My dogs and cats heard the crinkle of the treat bags, and came running. I have to say, my animals LOVED everything that I received from Natural Balance!
The first thing I opened were the Dental Chews. I received two different flavors: LIT with Duck Meal, and Pumpkin & Chicken Meal Formula with Papaya. I thought that my dogs wouldn't like the Pumpkin treats, as sometimes they can be picky eaters... boy, was I wrong. They loved the Pumpkin flavor. I think it was their favorite thing that they received. These Dental Chews help reduce plaque and tartar, freshen breath, are easy to digest and have antioxidant nutrient. They are also Grain free!
I also received Two flavors of Belly Bites: Duck & Legume Formula and Salmon & Legume Formula. The first ingredient in each of these is meat, and the second is peas! I can feel confident when giving my dogs these treats!

My dogs also tried the "roll" of dog food, and I can honestly tell you that, they loved that. I gave each one some so they could all try it and all three of them gobbled it right down!
I also received two packets of LIT (Limited Ingredient Treats) in two different varieties: Rabbit and Potato, & Salmon and Potato. I can't tell you which my cats preferred. They ate them both with gusto! Again, in these treats the first ingredient is meat! Cats are natural carnivores, so I love finding them treats when the first ingredient is meat.
I also received a variety of wet cat food ouches, and "Cataouille". My siamese cat really loved the Cataouille! It had real shredded chicken and after he was finished he looked pretty satisfied, because he curled up and took a nap. Damon (my Siamese, after Damon Salvatore (haha)) approved! The other pouches of cat food I received I had my other cats taste test. They were a "Chunk" Variety. They all ate it and they all seemed to love it, except Klaus, who again just licked off the gravy like he always does. If anyone has any tips to get him to eat ALL of the food, let me know.
Natural Balance is a winner in my book! I will look for these also when I got to my local pet Supply store!

Natural Balance is also committed to helping animals by donating to local animal Charities.

Review: Wellness Pet Treats & Cat Food
In observance of National Pet Week, this week I will be
reviewing only pet related products. To kick off my first pet product review, I
(and my pets) had the pleasure of reviewing Wellness Pet Snacks and Wet Cat
food.
This review will be a little different from all of my
others, because I can’t really give my opinion on how the product tastes.
Though I can tell you, my pets loved all of these products… so much so that
they all come running when I crackle the treat bags.

For your Canine buddies- I reviewed Wellness Core Superfood
Protein Bars. I was sent two different flavors; Turkey & Duck with Kale,
and Beef & Bison with blueberries. I can’t tell you which they preferred,
because they gobbled them both down with equal enthusiasm. I think when it
comes to what my pets eat, I think more about what goes into their bodies than
what goes into mine. The ingredients in these blew me away. The first
ingredient in each of these is meat, and all of the ingredients I can actually pronounce!
They contain No GMO’s, Meat By-Products, Wheat, Corn, Soy, artificial colors,
flavors or preservatives! By far one of the healthiest dog treats I have ever
encountered. These are also made in the USA!![]() |
| Archer and Klaus, Gobbling down treats Excuse my feet, I was spray painting |
For your Feline Friends- I reviewed Wellness Kittles, which
are crunchy cat treats. I have to admit, my cats are pretty spoiled, generally
when I buy them treats, I buy them moist treats, because they like those. I
wasn’t sure if they were going to like these, but I gave them a shot. I am glad
I did. I received three flavors: Salmon and Cranberries, Tuna and Cranberries,
& Chicken and Cranberries. I gave
them all some of each flavor, and they gobbled them all up. My cats loved
these! Some of my cats are somewhat picky eaters (I have 6!) and even they ate
them without complaint. Sometimes I will get a funny look from my Siamese cat
if I try to feed him a treat that he doesn’t like. Again, just like the dog
treats, the first ingredient is meat, and I recognized all of the ingredients!
They are gluten and grain free! Perfect for your kitty cats. If you have any
“chubby” cats, you will also appreciate that each treat is also less than TWO
calories!
Lastly- I reviewed Wellness Wet Cat Food. My cats get wet
cat food a couple times a week, and they usually eat the pâté kind. These
flavors (Chicken, Tuna and Salmon) came in minced versions. Five of my cats ate
all of the food that I gave them; only one licked the gravy off and left the
chunks. He does that with the Pâté stuff also. He’s not a huge fan of wet food,
so I think it has less to do with the product and more to do with his personal
food preferences. Not to worry though, his portion did not go wasted. Once the
other cats were done with theirs, Archer, my tabby cat took it upon himself to
finish what Klaus wouldn’t eat. What a piggy.
All in All, I think each one of these products is Great!
Next time I go to the pet supply store, I will probably pick up a few more
packages of each one. My animals loved them, and I can give them to them with
confidence, knowing that the ingredients are not bad for them! I would
recommend these to anyone with furry friends.
