Review and Giveaway: John Paul Pet

For those of you who don't know, I am a proud mother of two fur babies. I have two dogs, who are both eight. I have Eldorado, who is a mixed breed of Blue Heeler and Welsh Corgi. I have had her since she was eight weeks old. I also rescued a pure bred Blue Heeler named Boozer five years ago.

I am very big on taking care of my dogs the best I can. I don't like just using any product on them because I have noticed that it dries out their skin. My dogs have had issues with "hot spots" in the past, after going into certain lakes.

So, after they got out of the lake the last time they went swimming, I wanted to get them into the bath to get any kind of parasites washed off them immediately. I decided it was the best time to try the John Paul Oatmeal Shampoo. After a little bit of a struggle with Eldorado (bath time is not her forte) I got her in the tub first. I must say, I started off over all impressed with the scent. It wasn't to overpowering. It was just a nice scent. I also think that the oatmeal helped soften her fur up quite a bit. She has a few patches of more wire hair. After all was said and done, I decided it was doggy spa day. I proceeded to bathe Boozer, but that little ham loves taking baths. He didn't even try to shake out all over me.

My dogs don't typically have problems with gross stuff being stuck in their eyes due to their breed, but they do get nasty ears. Typically they don't appreciate when I am trying to clean out their ears. Whether I use liquid or what not in their ears, they both tend to run from me. So, I took out an Ear and Eye wipe. I first let Boozer sniff the wipe. I am pretty sure he thought it was a baby wipe. So he sat down, and I started working on his ears. These wipes take out a lot of grime without putting your pet through any stress at all.

Last, I wanted to brush them out, so I decided to use the conditioning spray. After having a hard time spraying Eldorado, I ended up brushing a lot of loose hair out of her. Afterwords, she looked like she had lost a good ten pounds. Boozer and Eldorado both had a nice shine on their coats for the next week easy. They smelled great.

I love that these products can be bought separately, or in a three pack special right on the website.

Review: John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner

I will admit, I have used my own shampoo and conditioner on my dogs. I know, I know, it's probably bad, but regular old dog shampoo I think leaves their hair very crunchy feeling, and not soft at all. Why do humans condition their hair, yet we don't condition our dogs hair?

I was very excited to receive John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo and Oatmeal Conditioning Rinse. They day I received this, it was doggy bath day in our house. Zeke went first, I made my husband give him a bath, because sometimes he can be a little "wild" in the tub. Brian said that he did very good in the tub though, and didn't try to hop out even once. My husband raved at how soft and shiny his hair was afterwards.

Then it was my turn to do Neener. yes, my dogs name is Neener. It is a long story for a different time. She is an Australian Shepherd, and thankfully, she loves water. She watched Zeke when he came out of the bathroom, running around like he was on fire, and drying himself off on his towel. I asked her, "Do you want a shower?" and she ran right into the bathroom and jumped in the tub. I washed her how I normally would. She thought she was done when the shampoo was rinsed out of her, and tried to hop out, and then she seen me grab the Conditioner bottle. She got back in the tub so I could condition her fur. I have to say, I saw the most difference in her fur. She is so soft and smooth and fluffy. Her hair is kind of a pain to take care of, because when she gets wet it gets Kinky. making her hard to brush when he hair is wet. The conditioner made it so much easier to brush her, and she was so happy when she was done with her bath.

This shampoo and Conditioner contains Oatmeal, Aloe Vera, and sweet almond oil. I can tell you that you can definitely smell the almond oil! These products smell like almond cookies, and now so do my dogs! This is also perfect for dogs with sensitive skin, like my Collie.

I loved these products! I would look to purchasing more in the future!
I would give them a 10/10!

Review: John Paul Pet Waterless Foam Shampoo

Have you ever tried to give a cat a bath? Yeah, that's not going to happen. At least not with any of my cats! Well, when I received this particular product, I could not wait to try it out on my cats! I tried it on my siamese, who definitely does not like baths, and being as none of my cats are declawed, I don't feel like getting my face and arms scratched!

This product is a miracle worker. Everyone gives their dogs baths, but hardly anyone gives their cats regular baths, because of how afraid of water most cats are. Now you can!

I loved this product! It was so easy to use, and my cats smell great now! I also tried this on my dog, Zeke, and he wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he let me massage this into his hair, and I think he enjoyed it! This formula requires no rinsing, and is made with a blend of botanical oils that cleans and freshens your pets coat. This is perfect for cold weather, or animals that hate getting baths!

So far, this is my favorite product I have tried form the John Paul Pet Line! All of their products are tested on humans first (Cruelty Free!)

Review: John Paul Pet Ear & Eye Pet Wipes

John Paul Pet products are made by the Co-Founder of Paul Mitchell! They have been nice enough to help us finish up Pet week! I will be reviewing one of their products every day for the rest of the week! I have to say, these products certainly make it easier to clean  up my dogs and cats. At the end of the week I will be putting up a Giveaway for some of their products!

The fir item I tried were the Eye and Ear wipes. Every one who owns animals knows the woes of Eye boogies. Animals get them just like people do, I tried these on my cat first, cleaning around his eyes and ears. he didn't seem to mind it, and it cleaned his ears well. Then I tried them on my dog. They also cleaned his ears well, though you could tell he was definitely not used to the wipes. If I sued these regularly on my animals they would probably get used to them in no time.

The directed use is everyday. Though with my animals I don' think it is needed. If you have a small dog that gets tear stains easily you will love this product, so easy to use and it really cleans! I will continue to use these on my animals as needed.

John Paul Pet products are cruelty free, Tested on Humans first. They are also fragrance Free.
