The Upper Peninsula

I promised pictures of Tehquamenon Falls, and here they are! We had such a great time up in the UP. Not only did my husband get to go across the Mackinaw Bridge for the first time in his adult life, but we traveled through so many beautiful forests, and seen very interesting things. I can't wait to go next summer!

Review: Karma Wellness Water

Karma Wellness Water

I know, I know, “You don’t like water.” Well I am here to tell you, if you drink juice, Gatorade, or other water’s with vitamins in them; you have got to try Karma Wellness water! Not only do I have to give Karma Water major points for their innovative packaging, the flavors are all delicious!

The idea behind Karma Wellness’ Water design is that vitamins deteriorate in water, causing premixed vitamin drinks to lost their strength. Karma’s nutrients are stored in the cap until you release them, assuring optimal freshness and potency.

Unmixed
Karma Wellness Water  is a delicious line of natural, nutrient-enhanced water formulated for your mind, body, spirit, balance, and vitality (which happen to be the names of our 5 functional varieties)!
The driving force behind Karma is the fact that water-soluble vitamins lose their potency while sitting in water or when they are exposed to moisture. Additionally, vitamins suffer degradation when they are subjected to UV rays, oxygen, or heat. The loss of strength is greater when the vitamin contents are spread across the full contents of bottled beverages, causing premixed vitamin drinks to lose their potency over time. This is the challenge we see with many current wellness drinks on the market.

Mixed
With Karma, we're hoping to make a healthy decision easy. All five functional varieties contain 110 percent (or more) of the recommended daily allowances of vitamins A, B3, B5, B6, B12, D, and E, and the vitamins and nutrients are protected in a KarmaCap until the consumer is ready to drink. At that point, they just push, peel, and shake to turn water into wellness, as see in this video: http://bit.ly/Nyyrr9

Karma’s water’s are also low calorie, and are PACKED with vitamins. They use Spring Water, are low Sodium, Gluten Free and Lactose free!

My favorite flavor that I tried was the Passionfruit Green Tea. It was so refreshing!

Review: Essentia Water

I am a water-holic. I love to drink water, but that being said, I am also very picky on how my water tastes. Some water, in all honesty tastes like dirt. So when I tried Essentia Water, I was so glad! I loved it. This water tastes so clean and fresh!

Essentia Water is a 9.5 on the pH scale, making it alkaline, smooth and clean tasting. They also have electrolytes to refuel your body after a workout.

It is also BPA free!

Essentia uses a 3 step process to make this great tasting water. in Step 1 (Purification) they use micro-filtration and reverse Osmosis, to achieve a purity of 99.9%
In Step 2, they infuse dissolved minerals (electrolytes) into the water.
Step 3, is called Ionic separation, where they remove the acidic ions leaving you with water that looks and tastes great. This step also removes any bitter taste which you sometimes will encounter with water that has electrolytes in it.

I am etremely satisfied with this water!
I give it a 10/10!

Review: Cascade Ice Water

Cascade Ice is something that everyone should try, especially if you love to drink soda! It is a fizzy drink, and it tastes great, but it is WAY better than regular soda for you! I received 5 different flavors to try, Coconut, Lemonade, Macintosh Apple, Orange Mango, and Blueberry Watermelon. Out of those five, the Macintosh Apple was my favorite. In total, they have 21 flavors! What a variety!
I think what made it my favorite was, it didn't taste like "fake" apple, it tasted exactly like when you bite into a crisp apple and the juice spurts into your mouth. Fresh and clean. Living in Michigan, surrounded by apple orchards (at least in my part of the state) we take our apples very seriously.
  • Cascade Ice waters are free of unnecessary and unhealthy “extras” found in other flavored waters like calories, sodium, caffeine, gluten and sugar. Compared to many popular soda brands which can contain upwards of 38 grams of sugar,Cascade Ice beverages are sugar-free and full of flavor.
  • Cascade Ice has 21 delicious and unique flavors including Cranberry Pomegranate, McIntosh Apple and Orange Mango in addition to the line’s three newest flavors, Strawberry Banana, Coconut Mango and Coconut Pineapple. The sparkling waters have a delightful “fizz” combined with natural fruit juices.
  • Cascade Ice is available for purchase in all 50 states, at retailers such as Albertson’s, Safeway, Ralph’s, QFC, A&P, Raley’s, Coborn’s, HEB, Market Basket, Shoprite, Food City and Price Choppers, among many others. Click here for a full map of retailer: http://cascadeicewater.com/wtb.html
Cascade Ice water contains Zero Sugar, caffeine, sodium, gluten, or carbs! It's great for people who are trying to cut out soda as part of a diet, but still want to be able to have carbonated drinks!

Review: Avitae

Avitae was kind enough to send me some of their products in exchange for an honest review.

When I got this I thought for sure that this water would taste funny.... I'm really weird about Bottled water. This was really good though. Super refreshing, and it didn't taste like dirt like some water does. Not only is this water perfectly refreshing, it also contains CAFFEINE. Amazing right?
I drank the 45mg one first. That amount of caffeine is equivalent to half of a cup of coffee. I was starting to come around, so I thought why not? I drank the 90mg next.
Now I was basically going on a cup of coffee, I was getting more done, and my stomach wasn't hurting. Some coffee's makes my stomach just cramp up, Others do not, but the majority of well known brands do. I also am not a huge fan of certain kinds of soda with caffeine in them, so Avitae is PERFECT. Plus, you get more water in your diet, and everyone needs to drink more water.

The 125mg is my favorite. It gave me the perfect amount of energy. I wasn't sluggish and I didn't crash after a while.
For the people who need caffeine, and say they have to drink pop, You don't! This is the PERFECT product for you! I loved every single thing about this product right down to the cap, and will buy more anytime I see it.
The most perfect way to stay Hydrated AND Awake.
Perfect Score!! 10/10. I would give these an 11 if I could.

Review: Zym Tablets

ZYM Tablets are something everyone should have for days when they decide to work out, or a just feeling down in the dumps. They are dis solvable (and portable) electrolyte tabs. They are packed full of things that are good for you including: Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium. They also Have 100mg of Caffeine!! That's about as much caffeine as in one cup of coffee. But unlike coffee, ZYM includes tons of vitamins, and electrolytes. Perfect for recharging after a workout.
Create a positive and meaningful experience that will enrich the lives of athletes. ZYM plays an important role in athletes from all over the world. ZYM is the essential fuel for your body’s engine to get hydrated: The secret weapon for training and competition. We want you to better your best.
These are so easy to carry around, just a little tube that you can slip into your purse or gym bag. Each tube contains 10 tablets. Could you imagine carrying around 10 bottles of sports drink?

When they dissolve, they make a drink similar to flavored water. I was able to try two flavors, Grape and Orange. I preferred the Grape more, but both were good.
I would recommend these the any one who works out, whether it be out in the yard or at the gym.
