Review & Giveaway: Splash Cards

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

Gathering around a table and playing cards. It's one of my favorite past times that I enjoy with my family. But Now, with Splash cards from Winning Moves Games, we could lounge in the pool and play our favorite card games.
I received two different types of Splash Cards to review, Splash Jack Royal and Splash Pals. I opened the Splash Pals first, and played around with them. I watch a disabled adult 3 days per week and we played around with these for a while, creating different people, matching colors and numbers. These Splash Pals definitely can be made into more than one game. Each Card has either a head, torso or legs on it, as well as a different colored background and a number. You can make different characters, sort by body part, or even play a matching game with numbers.

Splash Jack Royal is exactly what the packaging looks like! Imagine all of your friends lounging around the pool playing a friendly game of go fish, or Poker, if you are into that kind of thing. I can safely sit next to the pool and hang out with friends and family playing cards without having to worry about someone splashing and getting the cards soaked.

Now the best part about these cards... They can be disinfected. I think Splash Pals would be the perfect inclusion to a classroom or even a youngsters room, because if they get dirty, or after multiple uses, you can disinfect them! Bye Bye Germs!

I really loved these two games from Winning Moves Games!

Coloring Lulu Review

I was pretty excited to be reviewing this product, as I had been looking for an app that was similar to this. When you have younger children who like to "color" you tend to go through lots of coloring books and crayons. I thought this would be such a great item to keep them interested in using their imaginations.

My original plan was to give this to my nephews. They love to color, and they LOVE using anything that has to do with Technology. The packaging made this sound pretty simple, just download the app and you are good to go.

I did run into a problem here- I couldn't find the app when I searched for it on the Google Play Store. I had to go and type it into a google search and the link directed me to the app that I needed. It was not very complicated, but took more time than I would have liked.

In the app, You can scan the QR code at the top of the coloring pages to begin coloring that page digitally. Or, you have the option to take a picture of a partially colored page and edit and finish coloring in the app. Then you can share your work!

One thing I did notice when I was working with this app, is that it does "lag" a little bit, though it was not enough to deter me from the app. I still played around and finished coloring my picture. I'm a kid at heart, what can I say? I do not think younger children will be able to notice the lag that much.

One of my favorite features of this app, is that when you are coloring, you can choose different mediums: crayons, markers, erasers, etc. And the colors, though not that many, give you enough choices to create little "masterpieces".

I tried this app on to different devices: my smartphone- LG G2, and my tablet- Google Nextbook. This app was not compatible with the Nextbook, but we have other tablets to try this on also.

All in all, I thought this was a pretty good product. It will definitely be something to keep the little ones busy in the car, or even at home. They can still use their imaginations while being on technology. The Crayon stylus that comes with it is perfect for little or big hands. It is very easy to hold.

I can't wait for one of my nephews to come next week to try this out. I also think another child that I watch several times a week will also enjoy this product.

The Upper Peninsula

I promised pictures of Tehquamenon Falls, and here they are! We had such a great time up in the UP. Not only did my husband get to go across the Mackinaw Bridge for the first time in his adult life, but we traveled through so many beautiful forests, and seen very interesting things. I can't wait to go next summer!

Review: Piczzle

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I was So Excited to be able to review a picture puzzle from Piczzle! I remember seeing products like this all of the time when I would go with my parents to have family pictures taken when I was younger... I always though it would be so awesome to put together a puzzle that was of me!

The process was so simple, and easy to follow. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other places that offer the same services.

I love my puzzle! I was really surprised at the quality of the pieces. They were not flimsy at all. My husband thought this was an adorable idea. He loved that I chose a picture from our wedding to get turned into a puzzle. I thought it would be a great coffee table puzzle, and every time I put it together, I would remember our wedding day. I think these puzzles would be the perfect gift for literally anyone. If your youngster wants to remember his or her special day going to the zoo, order a puzzle from Piczzle! If your niece or nephew is going off to college, give them a puzzle to put in their room.

You can even glue these back into the whole picture, or set them under glass on your coffee table. Piczzle can turn almost any photo into a puzzle!

Piczzle has also offered my readers a giveaway for a Small Cardboard Puzzle!
