Everyone knows that dogs are man's best friend, or woman's, in my case, but then why do so many people feed their dogs just regular plain old dog food? Most of the time, excuse my language, but it is utter garbage. I was very happy to be able to review Dogswell's LiveFree Dog food, and so were my dogs!
One of our dogs, has a chronic dry skin problem. She is a collie. She is always itching at herself. We have tried multiple things, and before I started feeding her Dogswell dog food, we had discovered that fish oil helps with her dry coat and skin. My dogs have been eating Dogswell food for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say, I was able to stop giving her the fish oil. Her coat is much shinier, and I have noticed that she has more energy, and has started slimming down to a healthier weight for her frame. Before we started feeding her this food, she was extremely overweight, and though it is only a few pounds over the course of a few weeks, she has started losing some of the winter weight. She can now run and frolic with our other two dogs without any problem. This is great, because for well over a year, we have been trying to get her to be at a healthier weight. Our vet had recommended her to lose weight also. I believe that this food had a lot to do with it. It is not filled with bad things, it contains quality ingredients, and it makes her want to play!
I have also noticed a different in my other dogs coats, but not as extreme as with our Collie's coat.
The pieces are the perfect size for my dogs, and apparently they think it tastes great, because when it is their "feeding time", they come running right to their bowls! They immediately gobble the food down. With their previous food, they would hardly get off the couch to come peek in their bowl, and the food would sit there in their dishes for hours, untouched. This was not the case with Dogswell.
My dogs loved all of the different flavors, Turkey, Salmon and Chicken.
If you have a pet, please, I urge you, check this food out!
