Why I made the Switch to Mac

I have to admit, I was one of those people who used to make fun of people with Mac’s. I know. I’m a jerk. I used to think to myself, “I know they are faster, but are they really that much better?” The answer, my friends, is yes. Yes, they are better. And here is why:
  1. Windows 8 happened. This operating system, in my eyes, was a complete and total failure. It was meant for tablets, and smart phones, and not for people like me who want to get things done. No, I do not want to switch back and forth between the Start Screen and the Desktop. It was far too different, and WAY too glitchy.
  2. Freezes/Crashes/Blue Screens. I kid you not, it seemed like everyday I was having to do a hard restart on my Windows computer. Don’t give me that crap about viruses either, I had a scanner, and every sort of anti everything installed. Care of Avast. Windows just inevitably, crashes.
  3. Viruses. Most viruses are actually written specifically for PC’s. I’m not saying that your Mac will never get a virus, but if you are careful, the chances are extremely unlikely.
  4. Speed. I didn’t actually know how well my Mac would work until I unboxed it. I went from a top of the line Alienware gaming laptop, to an iMac. I had only have as much memory. After using my Mac for several months, I have to say, even with half of the memory my PC had, my Mac is still faster.
  5. Looks. This isn’t actually a very good reason to buy a Mac, but nevertheless, it helped me decide on one. Mac’s look great. When you have one sitting on your desk, it makes you feel good. They are simple and sleek, and yet, they are powerhouses.
Sorry Microsoft, you just can’t hack it. Not in my book anyways. If I didn’t have to install third party software onto my Windows 8 computer to even make it functional enough for me to do anything, maybe we would talk about switching back. Until I see some major changes, I am sticking with my Mac. Even with the higher price point. It was worth every penny!

Review: Lifeguard Mini Portable Charger

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

I have fallen in love with this product! It is such a good thing to have around. The only thing is that I wish I would have had it sooner! Lifeguard Mini is a Portable Charger that fits right in the palm of your hand. I can charger just about anything! Within less than a minute, it had charged my phone up a full percent. It is not a "slow charger"; it charges just as fast as if you had your phone plugged into the wall.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Review: Magic Sound Box

Disclaimer: I received these items in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to post a positive review. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may differ.

My entire family just recently went and got all new cell phones. We have been streaming Pandora like crazy, listening to Spotify, and even watching Netflix on our phones. One problem we have encountered is on Youtube... the videos are so quiet sometimes I can barely hear them! Even with my volume all the way up!

For Example: The other day, my brother was having a problem with the screen resolution on one of his games... so I youtube'd how to fix it. Volume all the way Up I had to put the speaker right next to my ear, but that made it impossible to actually watch the walkthrough on how to fix the problem... *Lightbulb* "Oh! I have my Magic Sound Box!" I grabbed the speaker, flipped the switch and set my phone on it. BAM So loud I had to turn my volume way down. I was able to fix the problem by watching the video without an issue.

Review: Mama's Magic Mix

Let me start out by saying that I have tried all sorts of snack mixes. When I received Mama's Magic Mix, I thought I would be getting a regular old snack mix, boy was I wrong!
I received three flavors to try: Banana Split Baby Mama Drama, Caramel Apple Rock Star, and Raspberry Mocha Swagger Wagon. Such Fun names! They were also pretty fun for my taste buds also!

Banana Split Baby Mama Drama has freeze dried bananas and strawberries, salted peanuts, caramel puffs and chocolate covered graham crackers! YUM!

Caramel Apple Rock Star contains freeze dried green apples, roasted cinnamon almonds, caramel popcorn and cinnamon Malt Balls

Raspberry Mocha Swagger Wagon has freeze dried raspberries, roasted almonds, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and white chocolate chips!

Normally I would tell you which was my favorite, but each one was great in their own way. I loved certain parts of each. If I absolutely had to pick though, it would be Banana Split Baby Mama Drama.

All of the ingredients in these mixes are great. The flavors mix together so well. One of my favorite items were the Dark Chocolate covered Espresso Beans. So good! Another favorite ingredient of mine were the roasted cinnamon almonds. They remind me of the almonds you get a carnivals in those little paper tubes.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about these snack mixes. Go try them for yourself! I promise you won't regret it!

Review and Giveaway: Kauffman's Fruit Farms

When I received my package from Kauffman's Fruit Farm, I could hardly contain myself. I opened the package, and was so excited to see what was in it! Apple Butter Spread, and Apple Butter BBQ Sauce. Sounds weird, huh? Well, I can tell you that for a fact, Kauffman's Apple Butter Spread is the best I have ever had.

The flavors in the Apple Butter Spread are perfect. This whole product is perfect. The best part about this, is that it contains only THREE ingredients. Yep, that's it. Three. Apples, Apple Cider, and Cinnamon. It is one of the MOST delicious fruit spreads I have ever tasted. You can taste the fresh apples, and the hint of cinnamon. I tried this on pretzels, and it was amazing. Such a great snack. A great way to start the day if you spread it on some toast for breakfast.

The other product I received, was the Apple Butter BBQ Sauce. As I mentioned above, it sounds weird, but I promise you it is not. This would be absolutely perfect on pork chops, or if you were grilling chicken. You still get the spice and tang of BBQ sauce, but you also can taste the sweetness of the apples. Great product! It reminds me of summer time... My bottle is patiently waiting in the fridge for the next time I decide to grill, and I will be using that for sure. It's delicious! I tried this on it's own, and then tasted it on a piece of meat. It was great. this is perfect for dipping pork in. Especially is you  like eating applesauce with your pork, and I know a lot of people do.

I would give both of these products a 10/10!
