Coloring Lulu Review

I was pretty excited to be reviewing this product, as I had been looking for an app that was similar to this. When you have younger children who like to "color" you tend to go through lots of coloring books and crayons. I thought this would be such a great item to keep them interested in using their imaginations.

My original plan was to give this to my nephews. They love to color, and they LOVE using anything that has to do with Technology. The packaging made this sound pretty simple, just download the app and you are good to go.

I did run into a problem here- I couldn't find the app when I searched for it on the Google Play Store. I had to go and type it into a google search and the link directed me to the app that I needed. It was not very complicated, but took more time than I would have liked.

In the app, You can scan the QR code at the top of the coloring pages to begin coloring that page digitally. Or, you have the option to take a picture of a partially colored page and edit and finish coloring in the app. Then you can share your work!

One thing I did notice when I was working with this app, is that it does "lag" a little bit, though it was not enough to deter me from the app. I still played around and finished coloring my picture. I'm a kid at heart, what can I say? I do not think younger children will be able to notice the lag that much.

One of my favorite features of this app, is that when you are coloring, you can choose different mediums: crayons, markers, erasers, etc. And the colors, though not that many, give you enough choices to create little "masterpieces".

I tried this app on to different devices: my smartphone- LG G2, and my tablet- Google Nextbook. This app was not compatible with the Nextbook, but we have other tablets to try this on also.

All in all, I thought this was a pretty good product. It will definitely be something to keep the little ones busy in the car, or even at home. They can still use their imaginations while being on technology. The Crayon stylus that comes with it is perfect for little or big hands. It is very easy to hold.

I can't wait for one of my nephews to come next week to try this out. I also think another child that I watch several times a week will also enjoy this product.
